damn it is true ..
you can find anything on the internet .. hahhahahaha ...

but the guy looks like verndogs doesn't he ? ..

but yeah .. if you look at the play in a motion take, rather than a photo take, the guy was clearly trying to jack the ball away from pods .. kudos to pods for that catch ..

not as much as that catch dany wright of the mets caught two days ago .. who caught that clip ? he caught a fly ball with his bare hands .. his bare hands!

and yes eddie .. i swear the next time brooks throws off his back foot or in the middle of three defenders, i will jump the stands and tackle aaron brooks myself .. .. i don't know who makes poorer decisions .. kerry collins or aaron brooks ?

and lol a Leopold tackling Brooks
I know who makes worser desicions than Collins and Brooks...Peyton Manning in playoff games

In anycase, they wouldn't even let him throw his slider in the minor leagues because it's so good that they didn't want any scouting reports on it. This kid is going to be fantastic.

since we are talking about prospects and everything ... .. hahhaha ..

there's a guy that used to live in my neighborhood, and is now currently working in the A league ( promoted from Independent league recently during all-star week) White Sox farm system ..

his name is ray liotta .. he is a hard baller and has some nasty stuff .. he had stuff since high school .. he was throwing nasty fastballs at me when he was a freshman, and i was a senior in hs .. then again, i suck at baseball, so that's a different story .. hahahhaa .. i always did get him at basketball .. so we're even .

i guess we wont hear about him until he gets to AAA .. a long way for him to go .. i hope he gets promoted to AAA by next year, because he's doing well in A and did well in Independent .

theres another rumor floating around that griffey is on waivers and the white sox are going to pick him up in a trade with cincy if he clears.

taken from the cincinnati reds message board
quote:
Per Sports weeky.........Griffey has spoken to his family about a deal to the White Sox. Six high ranking officials w/ the Sox and Reds confirmed that pending waivers and Griffeys approval is in place. the only hang up is Grif spending six weeks in Arizona for spring training. The Reds would still pay 15 mil of the remaining 41.5 mil of his contract. The Reds would receive outfeilder Chris Young,1st baseman Casey Rogowski and prospects

Mike Cameron and Carlos Beltran collided in the OF today. Yikes. Worst collision I've seen. Link here:

Link to vid at the top...

If you're squemish, I guess you shouldn't watch, as it is pretty nasty.

Damn that is worse than when Damon collided with the second baseman 2 years ago.Damn....well at least they hustled for the ball..all i keep seeing is the wild card drifting further away

Yup. And the funny coincidence of the day is that Damien Jackson was on 3rd base as a pinch runner while all the medical attention was being given to Cammy and Beltran. I bet he was having flashbacks to '03s ALDS.

Wow...

Mike Cameron has a broken nose, multiple fractures of both cheekbones and a slight concussion as a result of his collision with Carlos Beltran today.

The trainer was even covering Cammy's face with his hat. I guess so his family wouldn't see all the blood... Wow.

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Aug-12-2005 05:07:

that was an awful collision ..
good wishes to the cameron family .. i am surprised beltran didn't get some bruises off that hit, because it looked like beltran's nose took a good hit to cameron's forehead ..

Beltran has brusies and scratches on his cheek...

What a horrific collision. I hope both outfielders will recover fully as soon as possible from this collision, especially Cameron, who might be out for a while. Poor guy, he got the worst of it ...

Posted by Shamez214 on Aug-12-2005 20:21:

Beltran also has a slightly fractured cheekbone and a slight concussion. Eeek. Cameron is having surgery. This is worse than was first thought.

Posted by jonze on Aug-13-2005 18:17:

just think, if the manny and cameron trade had gone down none of this would have happened. manny would never have come close to making a play on that ball. best wishes to mike and hopefully he can recover and come back just as strong next year.

But, that change of events could've caused something much worse to happen. Like Manny's cab getting into an accident on the way to Shea from the airport and killing many people. You never know.

I love when guys are this great at such a young age. In anything really. But especially in baseball.

the phillies are starting to come alive ..

i wonder who injected some life into this team ..
and the marlins still look lifeless .. the pitching is all right (minus willis and burnett of course, because they have been lights out ..) .. but what happened to their bats ?

thats just something no one can explain, although Mckeon making batters bunt constantly sure dosnt help.

minus roid-not-anymore jim thome ...
his stats have really dropped since his cleveland days .. and he has the giambi syndrome .. becoming skinnier .

Too early to label any NL East team lifeless, with maybe New York Mets as an exception who are 7 and 1/2 games back. Every other team can win the division this year if they can make a run for it. I'd say 25-10 run from now will do that by any of the current top 4 NL East teams.

Posted by Magnetonium on Aug-20-2005 18:05:

Kansas City Royals are on a 19 game losing streak. WOW ... 2 off team record and 4 I think away from ML record. Its a shame they have to be the worst team in the majors this year, even though they swept Yankees some time ago at home I cant believe that happened

Posted by Mebot on Aug-22-2005 15:27:

They finally broke their streak against the A's though. Shame, i was actually looking forward to witnessing a major league record

Btw nice rally against the Padres last night for your Braves.
