The behaviour of some people at the party and on this board is what I would expect from your typical Britney Spears fans. When you lose the ability to judge a party or a set objectively just because it's a specific DJ, there's a problem. People have been saying "the sound sucked and the crowd sucked but it was still the bestest night of my life!!!!!!!1" Either they've lost the ability to be critical because they worship Tiesto so much, or they had some really goooooood e, or they really need to get out more! Or maybe even all 3. Don't get me wrong, this behaviour isn't what ruined the party for me, the bullshit sound did that. I'd just like to see people be a little more critical and start to hold promoters responsible for their actions. If they hear nothing but positive feedback, they'll think everything was "good enough" and they don't need to fix anything for next time. |
Tiesto chants
ok Guys,
since everybody is bitching and complaining about the Tiesto chants here is something worth mentioning- being in the very front I distinctly remember ( it was still at the time when my brain was very clear...) before Tiesto came up, the Montreal DJ getting ppl all excited and raved up, he totally encouraged the yelling and chanting that went on for next two hrs. When ppl got quite he would gesture with hands to keep on chanting- that's how it all got started- anybody from the front agrees with me?
At first it really, really annoyed me but with time I kinda got used to it and didn't even know when I started to chant TIES-TO too. So guys, its not like we were worshiping him, it just kinda worked out this way- at least for me, I kinda followed the crowd there for a while- then started to dance and ignored everyone.
plus lets try to remember that everyone enjoys great moments differently- some ppl by chanting- i heard that its very therapeutical

it was a freakin awesome party
ppl chanting was awesome!!! he liked it, had a big smile on his face!! must feel friggin good!
good point JUSTAGIRL!!!
I think so too-who wouldn't enjoy hearing own name chanted out loud!!!

tiesto should worship us instead ... we pay him to dance for us
To "worship" a celebrity is to sell yourself short of what they are. Like putting yourself at a lower level than them, and accepting it with adoration.
I'm with whoever said you can respect what a dj does and be impressed, but taking it too far and you're just a speck in the crowd to them.
