The behaviour of some people at the party and on this board is what I would expect from your typical Britney Spears fans. When you lose the ability to judge a party or a set objectively just because it's a specific DJ, there's a problem. People have been saying "the sound sucked and the crowd sucked but it was still the bestest night of my life!!!!!!!1" Either they've lost the ability to be critical because they worship Tiesto so much, or they had some really goooooood e, or they really need to get out more! Or maybe even all 3.

Don't get me wrong, this behaviour isn't what ruined the party for me, the bullshit sound did that. I'd just like to see people be a little more critical and start to hold promoters responsible for their actions. If they hear nothing but positive feedback, they'll think everything was "good enough" and they don't need to fix anything for next time.

Like starsearcher said, and I agree. I have no problems people who "worship" someone like Tiesto, but again, they dont really worship him. They just really enjoy him and the tracks he lays down.
I know if I was a big DJ id love to get some feedback like that instead of nothing. I think most would. You know what you are doing has an affect on people.
Now obviously crazy teenie bopper kind of antics is a bit much but I didnt really see people going that far.

The sound certainley needed work but i tried not to let that ruin my night. you paid $50 to be there and Tiesto did deliver imo, so I just tried to enjoy it the best I could, and I did. (Even with the sub par sound)

Tiesto gets enough negative feedback from the people with inferiority complexes so no worries about that

Tiesto chants

ok Guys,
since everybody is bitching and complaining about the Tiesto chants here is something worth mentioning- being in the very front I distinctly remember ( it was still at the time when my brain was very clear...) before Tiesto came up, the Montreal DJ getting ppl all excited and raved up, he totally encouraged the yelling and chanting that went on for next two hrs. When ppl got quite he would gesture with hands to keep on chanting- that's how it all got started- anybody from the front agrees with me?
At first it really, really annoyed me but with time I kinda got used to it and didn't even know when I started to chant TIES-TO too. So guys, its not like we were worshiping him, it just kinda worked out this way- at least for me, I kinda followed the crowd there for a while- then started to dance and ignored everyone.
plus lets try to remember that everyone enjoys great moments differently- some ppl by chanting- i heard that its very therapeutical

Ya i remember that as well. however there was a point during adagio when some idiots behind me started chanting TIESTY, TIESTY. I even have it on video. who the hell is TIESTY.
I dont have a problem with chanting, but when someone does it they should at least have a clue about whats coming out of their mouth.

guess thats what happens when an event is advertised on z1035.

btw i think they were trying to chant TIJS

Just got home after deciding to swim back from the docks to escape the heat!

Great party, it was AMAZING halfway back on the right riser! real fans, great attitude, lots of room.

The VIP section on the stage had a nice set up and the best treat of all was getting to see all the behind the scenes stuff and a great view of Tijs himself in full dj action!

As someone mentioned already there were comfy leather couches and stuff but I sat on one for maybe about 2 seconds.. who the hell needs a couch when Tiesto is playing?!!

As for the details.. Tiesto was having a lot of red bull that night
He was also in a good mood cause he was goofing off quite a bit.. lifting up the cd player and moving it up and down, dancing around the booth as he was picking the next cd, making silly faces he's just too cute!

Paula, a ty mowisz po polsku?

tiesto should worship us instead ... we pay him to dance for us

Posted by karim on Jul-06-2005 06:12:

To "worship" a celebrity is to sell yourself short of what they are. Like putting yourself at a lower level than them, and accepting it with adoration.

I'm with whoever said you can respect what a dj does and be impressed, but taking it too far and you're just a speck in the crowd to them.
