Would be so fantastic to see real struggle again, in spite of their huge effort this summer to live up to their "galactico" name.

Still, they should buy some more, maybe a few more strikers , perhaps owen if he recovers...

And dont get me started about chelsea, size queen abramovic prolly has 3 players for each position by now.

Hopefully not to AC Milan

not really, chelsea are fairly weak at the back. if terry gets injured, carvalho is too erratic to be totally relied on, and huth is looking to leave, so without gallas they don't have 200 players to bring in like most positions.

edit- just to elaborate on carvalho, for every blinder he plays, he has some moments which are way too scary or dodgy, especially with his play on the ball, he's too continental still and not used to being charged down... we had that with ivan campo which is why we play him in midfield now, that leaves meite, ben haim etc to mop up any mess

Nikola Zigic on his way to Juventus according to Serbian newspapers.

Hopefully he'll stay where he is, and if Zvezda knocks out Milan, it would be a joy to see him play the Champions League with his mates. Otherwise, I would've loved to see him take Zalayeta's place, which is for sure.

The transfer fee would be around 7 million .

Somehow, I can see Zigic been a "Ibrahimovic" flop. The good thing is, they don't pay too much on him. I like Zigic, but I can't think he can be a main striker in Juve, at least not if they'll come back to Serie A.

I want Zigic to stay at Crvena Zvezda if they qualify for the Champions League on Wednesday, but the reports are saying that he'll leave the team no matter what happens. He should be taking the chance while he still has the chance to play there.

There's one slight difference between these players, Zigic scores both for the NT and the club team, Ibrahimobitch doesn't.

Posted by Elior on Aug-19-2006 18:04:

Ibra doesn't score, period

Posted by noikeee on Aug-19-2006 22:14:

Red Star isn't going to qualify, period

Posted by zoric on Aug-19-2006 22:20:

There has been so many things around in Red Star in the past 15 years, with the mafia and other stupid things.

Finally, after 15 years, we're in the right direction and the most important thing is to gain experience. These players are very young, and want to play for other European clubs, so hopefully, things'll start working for us aswell.

Napred Zvezdo.

Obafemi Martins is in talks with Newcastle after a 10m fee was agreed with Inter Milan, accordng to Sky Sports news.

They reckon a deal could be tied up in the next couple of days.

Posted by Ian on Aug-20-2006 12:47:

once again we've done some scouting on players & this time it's celtic who now look to tie up deals for 2 of the players. Agents are getting ridiculous, the moment interest comes up in their player, they release it to the media, knowing others will come in & ultimately up the price, meaning they get a bigger cut.

i see Ac have said they want to sign Ronadlo(fat one)

Posted by raveed on Aug-22-2006 22:36:

Madrid have signed Diarra for an estimated fee of 26 million euros. Its hard to see anyone stopping the putos now. I can see a record breaking points total in the making.

is this going to be the official united joke of this season

still better than last years 'what round of the Champions league we reached'

Now that Milan have qualified for the Champions League, they will be at Madrid presenting a formal offer for Ronaldo, offering around 25 million euros according to Marca. I dont want Ronaldo leaving Madrid. I want at least 2 quality strikers (Ronaldo and RVN) so they can rotate or in case of injuries etc. I'd only be happy of lleting him go to Milan if we get Kaka included in the deal *crossed fingers*

Posted by sensorium on Aug-23-2006 02:39:

I don't want Ronaldo leaving but I don't think he'll be seeing much action with the new coach. I may be wrong.

In other news, Boca Juniors, Nachos' team, has a new coach. His name is Ricardo La Volpe.
