no disrepect meant to the people in these picks... but these two picks show alot of the reason why tiesto SUCKS in toronto now.

possibly.....but i think this happens to every dj that gets praise like this.....and the dj should play even better with fans like these....sikk shirts.....

it was my second time seeing tijs, first time was at dragonfly.
i honestly loved his set this time, i think he did a really good job.
it was abit wierd seeing diddy on stage with him though, i didnt really care but i would of preferred if he wasnt there, the mix of the hip hop and trance world should never happen lol it just took away from tiestos performance in a way i think.
some of my fav tracks that night... debrunn debrunn, sick track to open with, then chasing cars, flight 643, broken inside, domino and the list goes on..
i hope his set in montral for resolution will be just as good

Seeing how im sure thats only a fraction, thats a fuckload of overplayed tracks he SHOULDNT be throwing down. All of us, including all you noobs here, have heard these "choons" enough times.

Now, I gotta ask....why/how the fuck are you kids impressed?

I think Tiesto believes people want to hear his "signature tracks" every time they see him, kind of like how David Bowie is always going to play Ziggy Stardust at a liveshow. But Djs are not rockstars. I for one do not want to hear Flight 643 or Lethal Industry EVERY DAMN TIME and so far, he has played those two tracks EVERY DAMN TIME I've seen him. I don't know any other Dj who does that but that's Tiesto these days and I guess it's working for him.

i guess ill add my 2cents

Well to please everyone, (i guess it must be kinda hard at times?) Tiesto must play these for some noobs, some of us hardcores, even the hardcores who are tired of it, need to listen to it again...

me right now i dont care to hear love comes again or traffic and shit, but some people do, right?..were all diff..lets just dance anyway...tiesto playing traffic right b4 your eyes..ya i dont mind at all!!

party on

Hey guys,...

So I started reading through this long long thread and got pretty tired pretty quickly so sorry if this question has been asked already:

At the very end of the night, the other DJ who was on after Tiesto played an awesome remix of Clocks (Coldplay)... It was such a fun ending to the night! Does anyone know what remix it was? Haven't been able to find it yet...

As for Tiesto... The hiphop was only on for 1 minute so it can't have ruined everybody's night THAT much. I had a great time, hope at least a few others did too.

THANKS!!

Most regrettably I was unable to meet many TA's at his event. As almost every event I do meet someone new. However I would like to give a shout out to those I did see and had met before this at past events at GUV. Nick, dood I think it was inevitable we would have a good time. For a first time seeing Tiesto, it was amazing. For all you nay sayers on the show, fair enough, but i heard no complaints in the crowd while i was there, people were rockin out and dancing like maniacs. Sure perhaps his music is played out for all you hardcore fans...but I think part of his appeal is he reaches out across borders and brings new people into the music that dont normally get into it. Even having only just become a fan of his through recent listening of his music, I'm glad alot of the music he played I was able to recognize even being a noob to the scene. My favorite song of the nite was Domino by Oxia but there were so many other good points throughout the nite.
Also Coxx, you probly dont remember me, I met you briefly at GUV 10th through Jem Hadar who introduced me to you. Anyways I was glad to see you out, you always seem to be having a good time, sorry you didnt enjoy this one. I was passing by and introduced myself again but obviously you didnt know me. Its aight I wouldnt expect you too.

Anyways cheers to all who made it out and made the best of the nite. I had an amazing time, danced my ass off and got totally messed up in teh end, but always inevitably have a good time. The music was great, and well since I'm not insanely picky regarding the music and only out to have a good time since I so rarely get to do so, I thought despite any downfalls of the nite it was a great time.

Anyways since I see so many of you asking about videos on the nite I thought i would refer you to the few i jsut recently posted on youtube. here are the links. Hope you all enjoy

Posted by Da_Beatz on Dec-15-2006 01:26:

Anyways hoep you all enjoy. Peace out

it doesn't look like it's on a screen. I was too messed up to remember those video things. One thign that struck me was that they should have had the camera on Tiesto like past events at the Docks, not that VJ crap.

There are plenty of fans that do want to hear them. If the set is long enough, i have no problem with it. Besides, these were newer remixes of the songs.

In general, i thought the set was good. Not great, but still good music that had me interested all night. I was hoping for great though, like last time @ the docks. Lots of techy trance all night, beginning to end pretty much. I didnt really notice the 2min of hip hop, but if i did im sure i would of been like wtf as well. All in all, a fun night. Tiesto seems to be really good every other time he comes to toronto, so next time it should be much better

it was a really fun night. hours of partying does not come down to 2 min? if ive realized anything, its that you cant always trust ppl's reviews on TA. THe night was defn not a dud, it was a lot of fun.
