it was my second time seeing tijs, first time was at dragonfly.
i honestly loved his set this time, i think he did a really good job.
it was abit wierd seeing diddy on stage with him though, i didnt really care but i would of preferred if he wasnt there, the mix of the hip hop and trance world should never happen lol it just took away from tiestos performance in a way i think.
some of my fav tracks that night... debrunn debrunn, sick track to open with, then chasing cars, flight 643, broken inside, domino and the list goes on..
i hope his set in montral for resolution will be just as good

i had a blast ,,
next time hes here..im sure going .
Hey guys,...
So I started reading through this long long thread and got pretty tired pretty quickly so sorry if this question has been asked already:
At the very end of the night, the other DJ who was on after Tiesto played an awesome remix of Clocks (Coldplay)... It was such a fun ending to the night! Does anyone know what remix it was? Haven't been able to find it yet...
As for Tiesto... The hiphop was only on for 1 minute so it can't have ruined everybody's night THAT much. I had a great time, hope at least a few others did too.
THANKS!!

Most regrettably I was unable to meet many TA's at his event. As almost every event I do meet someone new. However I would like to give a shout out to those I did see and had met before this at past events at GUV. Nick, dood I think it was inevitable we would have a good time. For a first time seeing Tiesto, it was amazing. For all you nay sayers on the show, fair enough, but i heard no complaints in the crowd while i was there, people were rockin out and dancing like maniacs. Sure perhaps his music is played out for all you hardcore fans...but I think part of his appeal is he reaches out across borders and brings new people into the music that dont normally get into it. Even having only just become a fan of his through recent listening of his music, I'm glad alot of the music he played I was able to recognize even being a noob to the scene. My favorite song of the nite was Domino by Oxia but there were so many other good points throughout the nite.
Also Coxx, you probly dont remember me, I met you briefly at GUV 10th through Jem Hadar who introduced me to you. Anyways I was glad to see you out, you always seem to be having a good time, sorry you didnt enjoy this one. I was passing by and introduced myself again but obviously you didnt know me. Its aight I wouldnt expect you too.
Anyways cheers to all who made it out and made the best of the nite. I had an amazing time, danced my ass off and got totally messed up in teh end, but always inevitably have a good time. The music was great, and well since I'm not insanely picky regarding the music and only out to have a good time since I so rarely get to do so, I thought despite any downfalls of the nite it was a great time.
Anyways since I see so many of you asking about videos on the nite I thought i would refer you to the few i jsut recently posted on youtube. here are the links. Hope you all enjoy
For some reason the links didnt work on the last post. here they are manually.

I was too messed up to remember those video things. One thign that struck me was that they should have had the camera on Tiesto like past events at the Docks, not that VJ crap.

| Originally posted by Dj Smitty20 I think Tiesto believes people want to hear his "signature tracks" every time they see him, kind of like how David Bowie is always going to play Ziggy Stardust at a liveshow. But Djs are not rockstars. I for one do not want to hear Flight 643 or Lethal Industry EVERY DAMN TIME and so far, he has played those two tracks EVERY DAMN TIME I've seen him. I don't know any other Dj who does that but that's Tiesto these days and I guess it's working for him. |
