No-one picked them to finish first in the conference at the start of the year. No-one would have thought they'd have a decent shot at making it to the conference finals. We ran into a wall in Biron (except game 5). We didn't finish our chances (how many posts did we hit). And Price didn't make the saves when he had to. FUCK YOU LEAFS, you're terrible |
go detroit!
well....I can't say I'm surprised. But we were looking pretty good until Richards batted the puck in. I'm not sure if I like that rule but whatever...then Price got rattled again. I hope this is a big learning experience for him. He is our future.
We gotta make some moves though...too many Europeans who don't show up!

HEY HEY HEY
GOODBYEEEEEE!!!

My little contribution to this thread.

Habs have played like shit throughout the series.
The series against Bruins says it all...we lost 3 in a row and we have not lost against them once in the season.
The series against Philly goes as follows:
-Inability to generate traffic in front of net and deflect pucks. The first time they achieve to correct this was on the Plekanec goal in the last game.
-Inability to score the first goal(s). Philly had 2 goals advantage in the first 4 games.
-Defense giving countless turnarounds. C'mon how many fuckups can you do
-Inability to neutralize players like Umberger. Didnt the guy score 8 goals against us in 5 games? Philly was smart by neutralizing Kovalev with Coburn. We focused too much on Briere.
-Price playing sub-par. He let way to many stupid goals in: Game 5 -between the legs by umberger, post on the right when he had full visibility. Game 3: 2 goals over the shoulder and the goal that he touched with his glove and failed to catch. There are many other stupid goals like that. Mind you, Defense was not helping much.
-Inability to take advantage of powerplays. We had a few 5 on 3...no goals == unacceptable.
-Streit was fucking useless.
I wish the referees had been more severe on both sides and not let anything go. It would of been in the Habs advantage!
Even though the habs dominated many of the games, they were unable to get past Biron. Thats part of the game. They had to be more creative and get pucks deflected to get past him...
Did the Habs choke?...yes.
A pissed of Habs fan.
Montreal needs more gritty players and less fancy pancy euros to succeed in the post season
nevertheless, this was a successful season for the habs, and with minor adjustments and more experience, they can make a serious run for the cup

That video is going in every leafs thread from here on out.
Also, the leafs no longer get their team name capitalized, just because they have big stupid idiot fans from hell.

Hahahahahaha.
Well, after all, the word of a Torontonian is GOSPEL to the rest of us bum-fuck-no-where Canadians

It's not only measured by growth, but by the teams' upside for the coming seasons. Failure is best defined by a team like Toronto: no playoffs, no growth, no upside for next season. Sundin's future is a question mark, the fat contracts of Tucker & McCabe cannot be rid of easily and none of their young players showed any sort of progress. Sundin not waiving his no trade clause and the inability to land Brian Burke set that franchise even further back. The only success for the Leafs is at the box office.. deluded fans who take delight in blasting other teams when its team cannot even make the playoffs ... sixteen teams, over HALF the NHL, and the Leafs cannot even be competitive. |

No player is going to think they had a successfuk year if they don't win the cup....that is what they play for all year. As a fan...you shouldn't accept anything but the cup as a successful season....thats one of the biggest faults of Maple Leaf fans.....they accept small successes as successes when they are not. |
