I just want to see how deadmau5 will react when a DJ bans him from a club.....what goes around comes around.....it is a pretyy small circle and I am sure word gets around fast.

Oh lol! Who would have known that a small gig like this would get so friggin big!
I've done parties since 1999 and I've learned one thing, shit happends, you get over it and keep on living. All what we can do is to learn, learn, learn and then die. (About the 1999 thing, I was only bragging)
With regards to this party I think it was kinda funny that we ended up booking 2 guys from totally different parts of the world and then NOT knowing that they had a dispute. The more funny thing is that we had plans about it before Marcus Schossow started with the Deadrat6 alias, bookig request was allready made in November for both artist to the same party!
What are the odds?
Our official statement is that we will not discuss the events leading up to cancelation for Marcus Schossow. So please don't ask us any questions or tell us that we are stupid without knowing the facts.
But I've read on some forums that people are actually blaming us for this, well... Offcourse! We did the booking, so it's our fault allright.
But then again we cannot know everything on what's going on with the artists, specially when we book them before they have an dispute.
(Yes, I wish that a timemachine is inveted soon). Maybe we should hire a guy who does Googeling 24/7 for us, or even call the artists asking WHAT'S NEW. Big tip to all the other partyplanners out there!
Aaaand yes, the party was packed and we all had a good time + Marcus is rebooked.
Congratz on the Juno award Deadmau5, give Harvey a nice bitchslap from me and tell him that we need the pringles back soon!
Kindly regards from Mihkku
Really amature booking in chief
btw, our next booking will be 50cent and Ja-Rule. We allready got them UZIs and armour.
Who needs music anyway?

I mean say you don't like his music or call it cheesy or fluffy or whatever after you heard it. Call him a douchbag or a pompous ass after this situation and a dozen others similar. Call him a hobo for doing the Jesus pose, but don't call him things like scrawny. |
This thread is sooooooo BORING...

| Originally posted by christian_rusch Of course. Coming on forums like these, you get a selection of persons already there. Then checking out threads that bash you, you get yet another selection there, so naturally it's going to be filled with people who think you're shit (not _the_ shit, but shit); because of this, there will also be some people (although not nearly as many) who think you're _the_ shit who come in trying to defend you. Add to that that no one who comes on here cares about the Grammys, and that Junos are like a lesser version of the Grammys, about which even fewer people care, and it's only natural that people will talk more about you acting like a diva than getting an award that only really indicates that you've reached commercial success (commercial success typically depending on a commercial sound, which not all too seldom goes hand in hand with dumbed down musical content to suit the musically dumbed down public), which is something the people on here (remember the selection) care even less for. So, all in all - publicity stunt or not - it has perhaps given you more exposure (and from what I've been told it seems that in North America all exposure is good exposure) left many of those in Olso, and on the Internet (located in various places around the globe - myself in Stockholm, Sweden) feeling that what you did was careless, arrogant, and completely disrespectful to those who went there that evening. Most, I think will agree that Markus can handle the situation, but you put the promoter in a spot in which they did not want to be, and left many fans (because yes, Markus has them too) disappointed as they paid to see either the both of you, or specifically Markus, and were robbed (so to speak) of that opportunity. If it was a move from your management, I'd have a long talk with them about how things are run (integrity and all that, might want to look up that word); If i t was a move from yourself (a) I wouldn't lie to people about it being your management making the call, and (b) I'd grow a backbone and try to act like a professional. Also, if you want (although you either seem not to, or try hard to make it come across this way) sympathy for your side of things (a) indifference isn't the way to go, and (b) not contradicting yourself (ie. being forthright) goes a long way; currently, with all your posts, it just comes across as you being two-faced. Also, if you want to find people who particularly care that you won a Juno (I'm not quite sure if you're surprised or not about that this - and many topics like it - got so many hits, while your Juno thread hardly got any), you might want to try www.commercialhouseaddict.com. Congratulations on winning the Juno, though. |

Publicity stunt or not, the fact is that this has made Deadmau5 look like a fool and has pissed a lot of people off.
All of you saying "who cares" or "it's not the end of the world" ... obviously you care since you continue to post these statements over and over.
I also find it funny that those who know Joel personally keep saying they are NOT defending him. If you're not defending him, why even post in this thread?
There's also a big difference between posting on TA saying "hey look at me I got into law school" and posting on TA with "Deadmau5 update #359".
The tracks Markus did were a joke, and it's a shame that Deadmau5 has taken them so seriously and acted so unprofessional.
It's silly think that "only people on TA" know about this. This is all over trance.nu, all over TA, all over myspace, and people are talking about this on facebook as well. You can also be rest assured a lot of people are talking about this in Norway and neighbouring countries. We live in an information age and word spreads fast. Soon clubs in many European countries will have heard about this.
Publicity stunt or not, this only paints Deadmau5 in a negative light and the whole situation could have been handled much better.
