| Originally posted by david.michael Alrighty, here it goes. Again, really sorry for the delay! Hopefully I don't get banned from further contests. I was able to piece together the tracklist from my Beatport receipt. Also, I'm also almost certain that there will be some argument as to whether or not all these tracks are able to be purely defined as dubstep, because: A.) Dubstep is widely disputed and undefined as a genre, and B.) I leaned a lot more towards the "listening music" side of Dubstep, rather than the "clubby/gathering" side of it. I'm very, very happy that I was able to enter this contest and get this genre, because it's one that I have wanted to explore for a while now (I wasn't much familiar beforehand, outside of Burial). As with other genres, there is a lot of garbage to be sifted through to get to the gems, but the gems are amazing. Anyways, blah blah blah, on with the show. ![]() | DOWNLOAD HERE | Genre: Dubstep Length: 47:48 Type/Size: 320kbps MP3, 109 MB 01. Kontext - Blinkende Stjerne [Immerse Records] 02. MOUNT KIMBIE!

I actually found them when I was browsing through Hotflush Recordings catalog.
I'm not giving you any credit, shitface.
I'm fanning my udders.
Expect my mix to be posted tomorrow. Sorry for the delay guys.

I don't think many people will want to listen to some Tech-Trance these days though
I used to like that sort of stuff like 4 years ago, now I can't believe how much my taste has changed. Just look at the mix on my sig for a reference
depends which bit you've gone for. I still regularly listen to marco v's 5 hour incharge set, just flows so well & builds awesomely. Some of the newer stuff can be ok but it's hardly techy, more just hardtrance + percs.
dude i recorded it today, a flawless mix and it only fuckin recorded channel 1 for some reason. so the whole mix is a fade in/out of channel 1 and then silence. then channel 1 again. more silence. etc. i think my record-out is fucked, i'm gonna re-record it tomorrow in the main-out
Some of you bastards better listen to my mix, after all that bitching. :P
I'll check it out.
give mine a go if you can, didn't get much feedback :P

I hate you all.
Ok David finally had time to sit down and give yours a whirl.
Was a really nice set I thought, solid mixing and great track selection. You played a lot of the type of dubstep I like, kind of strayed away from the heavier wobble type stuff with the huge farty basslines.
04. Martyn - Broken [Revolve:r]
05. Burial - Etched Headplate [Hyperdub]
06. Mount Kimbie - Vertical [Hotflush Recordings]
07. Synkro - Everybody Knows [Smoking Sessions]
Was great I thought, I listened to that section several times through, just great tracks all around. From there you went on to finish the set out with some energy. Lots of varied tracks and really nice flow, you did a great job especially if it was your first venture with Dubstep.

Yep, that's the kind of the dubstep I love, the moody atmospheric stuff. The clubby stuff is ok but I get tired of it quickly, bad clubby stuff is just awful.
