I agree this years Pik nik is a little Weak...Last year attended all but Breaks, Ninja & dubStep Days
Heard Paul Ritch tore it apart last night....
Went a handful of times. Nothing close to last year at all, Music or crowdWise. The best one by far I went to was Ostrich & Giles Smith. Really good turn out. Wish I could find a Video of the event...perfect day.
Secert Sundaze
Josh Wink ~ September 26th is always a Big draw as well

we all dropped piknic for beachclub bc of the booze-scandal lol.
You can't compare beach club to piknic, I think 89.9 (ottawa pop/rnb radio station) beats beach club terriblemusic... Not even calderone this year... recycle me some house plz
yes, yes i can

there's also the tent and the old hip hop part that's now deep house, some good music coming out of there. At least you guys have been to both so your comparisons have 'some' validity
Piknic 'generally' will play more cutting edge music from what I've experienced there, but that's only good when they don't book acts like MSTRKRFT
Piknic is my favorite setting for a party hands down, but I haven't been into it this year. Still a couple opportunities, but not likely to top last year's Joris or Burridge events. I don't like Beach Club, but it does have this going for it...

Jesus, I swear people are going to start hiring alcohol mules to smuggle booze in.

Forty of 10.1% Molson Dry and OJ, pretty fucking drunk for $6.. then you buy a few beers when you're inside to keep the buzz going. It's really not that bad when you hold on to your cup, $3.75 a beer is reasonable. Another solid idea, wear cargo shorts and leave the cooler in your car. Go back to the car with a bunch of friends with cargo shorts, and stuff 4 beers in each of their pairs of pants, chug a few at the car, and enjoy.. we've done that, they don't even look at you when you flash your bracelet. Friend of mine came up with another cool idea.. buy a huge thick loaf of bread, carve out all the dough on the inside and put a 26oz of hard A inside the bread, and have some pieces of meat hanging out and disguise it as a sandwich. Just make sure it's at the bottom of whatever kind of cooler you're brinign in so they don't pick it up. |

looking forward to this sunday, should be good times
