How did she come up with the idea to dress in that costume? It's so original...

Had a great time at Beyond. We got there a little bit before 5. We went to the second GA entrance. The line was much shorter and faster there. Even the guys line move pretty quick.

For me Andy had the best set of the night! Patterson banged it out pretty good. Loved how he interacted with the crowd. Jules and Cl where a huge disappointment. They both played Dub step in there set. WTF!! Cosmic Gate where all right...

We found a bartender that made our drinks with all Vodka and just a splash of sprite or red bull. Got us pretty nice and toasty.

We took time to check out the other areas too. The Dub set area was going off!!! Everyone one was doing the tomahawk chop in unison. The house tent was huge! The production in there was amazing!!! We also checked out Hawtin for a little bit before leaving around 12:45ish ish

Good times for sure!

Phoning in my review on Beyond Wonderland. Thought the Insomniac crew did a bang up job decorating the location and making it interesting with the art stuff. We moved between stages for most of the night, checked out Marco Carolla, Dirty South, MANDY, Calvin Harris and a few others.

Only sets we stayed for the duration were Ritchie Hawtin and Christopher Lawrence who had the two best sets of the night IMO. I was impressed with both cos they each have such a strong sound. I often find walking round festivals that one Dj starts to blur into the next but with guys like Hawtin and Lawrence, they stand out and I think that's why so many people connect with them.

Only complaint was the sound in the Madhatter Room. The room was completely rammed for Christopher Lawrence's set but when we walked by during Showtek it had cleared out. Suspect it was due to the bad sound, nobody could stay in there long. Whoever was doing the sound in that room should be shot, it was way too loud and not in a good way.

had to check for a pulse this morning, thought I might be dead b/c I slept from 5pm sunday to 9am today. it was almost a shitty weekend. long story short, my girlfriend broke up with me at beyond wonderland. wtf? as soon as we got there, she dumps me, then she went home. I was pretty upset so I started drinking and people were even buying me drinks when they heard from my friends what happened.

we got pretty buzzed and went over to the dubstep area and were laughing at the people dancing and how bad the music was (sorry not into it). checked out a few other djs cant remember their names though.

then we're waiting for christopher lawrence to go in the trance room, but kept leaving and going back because the sound sucked in there. when he finally came on, he totally killed it. he was off the hook crazy good. the room got crowded during his set and hard to find space to dance but we were so stoked to see him play and in such an awesome room going off. I went mostly to see christopher and his set made me forget every shitty moment of the day. he had the girl singer from little rush live at the end and she was pretty hot.

cosmic gate came on after christopher but they were kinda boring so we took off to check out funk agenda, datsik and a few others. also caught showtek they were pretty bad, so went to kaskade for a while, he was pretty good. I like a couple of his songs.

geez man. that part at the beginning would've killed my buzz so bad that any [rec stuff] or alcohol consumed after that would've just made everything worse.

So what is insomniac's reason for ripping off their vip customers? Fucken clowns, absolutely spitting in the face of their customers

They did it before and it worked, why ruin a good thing?

yea. at this point, stuff like that shouldn't surprise anybody. like when a VIP privilege is "a chance to meet the DJs" which translates to "we're going to put you in the VIP area which is close but not close enough to where the DJs hang out so you better hope they decide to pass by within earshot and then decide again whether or not to say hi to you".

People will still go (their parties will still sell out) no matter how bad this or that is...

I wish P. T. Barnum was alive today, so he can update "There's a sucker born every minute" to "There's a sucker born every second."

What a sad story. I wonder why your girlfriend even went if she was planning on breaking up with you? Why not sell her ticket and tell you the day after? Kinda mean.

At least you managed to have some fun. We were up the front for Christopher Lawrence too and he was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G as usual he owned the trance stage. We walked a lot listening to different djs and chilling out and actually left around 11pm to drive back to Hollywood for Digweed at Avalon which was immense!! I wish Insomniac would get Digweed to play at one of their shows although you don't really get the long sets he plays and that's where his genius is.

There's a sucker born every time they go to a wack Insomniac event..

Well not all of them were wack in the past, I admit. Lately, lineups are garbo...

Anyone catch that Paris Hilton clip?, that is barely EDM. god can that be anymore cliche..?

giving the ta's attending a heads up that the vip was going to be the way it was would have been appropriate.

Go Ventures was notorious for this, guess they followed suit.

If you missed Beyond Wonderland, there are more Insomniac events going through the summer and into the fall. This event was put together quite well with amazing talent throughout. Super well organized, and a techno tent was added for some additional flavor!

Tons of coverage...check it out!
