I actually wanted to do a second one, but with so many people not posting their mixes at all, or posting them like 2 months too late I'm not so sure anymore.
Can somebody think of rule changes / ideas to keep that problem under control?

| Originally posted by Ian those who didn't respond in here or pulled out when seeing the style to be forbidden. One or two genres maybe excluded, eg dark gabber, nuwhatever, and the person who suggests the genre has to name maybe half a dozen artists that the person taking it on should check out ? |
IMO, exclusion of EDM genres somewhat defeats the purpose (within reason). As for people taking too long... well, I don't really see a huge deal with that, either. Yeah, it's annoying... but what were you really out? (I'm not saying don't do something to remedy this, or keep them from entering the next contest, or whatever you feel necessary. But, why not do the contest again? It's not like it cost you money.
)
I agree with excluding those who backed out when their genre was picked, or those that just never responded.
There can't be a second one until this has finished, so:
Announcement:
The challenge will definitively end this saturday (25.04.)! If you haven't posted your mix yet, this is your last chance.
I'd definitely be up for the next one... this time we should have 2-Step Garage as a possible genre
But I like Ian's comment, that the genre suggester should list off a few artists to lead the mixer off in the proper direction.
I.E. if I suggested 2-Step Garage I would say MJ Cole, Bump & Flex, Groove Chronicles, etc.

Too bad I missed this, hoping for another round.
Listening to Nik's prog-house mix right now, nicely done.
... aaaaaaaaaaaannd we're done.
The challenge ends NOW!. Thanks everybody for participating.
Here are some rule changes I envision for round 2:
- Fixed and announced dates / timelines for everything.
- After the registration ends people will have 24 hours to withdraw, in case they don't like the genres, didn't really want to play, are too busy, etc.
- There will be a strict time limit of 3 or 4 weeks for the mixes. I'll send friendly reminding PMs a week prior to the end.
- Nobody will be banned for not completing the first one, but people will have to explain why I should believe they'll manage to do it the second time.
- We'll stay with EDM only, because I'm afraid there'll be even more drop outs if someone has to do Country or Love Songs
Let me know what you think!
all sounds good, but i was happy with the 2 week timeframe

LOL, thanks guys. Let me know what you think
Ian, you lucky bastard...I have to watch it on the web on really shitty quality because stupid Sky bought the rights to the Spanish League in Central America and refuse to negotiate with other networks.
I'm about 30 Minutes into this. The music in this is actually pretty enjoyable. Good selection of tunes here mate. This genre, I think I would have had a lot more fun with this than epic/uplifting. Mixing is quality bro. Nice job, so far.
Thanks Chris, actually I took a lot of liberties on the first half of the mix. Since the guy that posted this genre actually used "Electro-Tech Trance" I got a bit creative
Pretty sure you and most guys will recognize 3 classic tunes in there.
