If you missed Beyond Wonderland, there are more Insomniac events going through the summer and into the fall. This event was put together quite well with amazing talent throughout. Super well organized, and a techno tent was added for some additional flavor!

Tons of coverage...check it out!

No it wasn't, obviously you didn't pay for a vip ticket

This comment is so racist. So what if there's more Mexicans! Five years is nothing, I have 15 years of going to parties/raves.

Started in the mid '90s listening to drum n bass and techno. I lived in Toronto at the time. I remembered at most parties the majority were either white kids or black. I'm Mexican and gay, never felt out of place -- dude u have issues.

Same thing was said about Asians in the lates 90's, they are taking over the scene

Fuck you insomniac you crooked pieces of shit, i'll never attend another one of your events, 5 bartenders total for vip for the entire event, fuck you, I want my money back, bunch of shady pieces of shit. Pasquale if you read this fuck you and your piece of shit company. I left because of how poorly the vip area was orchestrated. The music sucked other than the techno and dnb, ridiculously good. I'll stick to clubs from now on, no matter how good the lineup is.

Ps fuck you insomniac

i agree, had the worst time ever. wans't even paying attention to the music

how is his comment racist? he didnt' say it was a bad thing they were there, and im hispanic and agree 100%. the scene is differnet and filled with mexican gangster kids now. just my opinion.

For the record, the event was thrown in their neighborhood. How would you not expect Hispanic kids to show up? I understand being uneasy around little gang bangers. But say that, don't generalize.

Maybe they should bring Insomniac events to OC so they cater to all the yuppies (no offense if your not a yuppie). Oh that's right, they wouldn't.. they prefer to hold these events in areas where the neighborhood doesn't give a rat ass. go figure.

had to check for a pulse this morning, thought I might be dead b/c I slept from 5pm sunday to 9am today. it was almost a shitty weekend. long story short, my girlfriend broke up with me at beyond wonderland. wtf? as soon as we got there, she dumps me, then she went home. I was pretty upset so I started drinking and people were even buying me drinks when they heard from my friends what happened.

we got pretty buzzed and went over to the dubstep area and were laughing at the people dancing and how bad the music was (sorry not into it). checked out a few other djs cant remember their names though.

then we're waiting for christopher lawrence to go in the trance room, but kept leaving and going back because the sound sucked in there. when he finally came on, he totally killed it. he was off the hook crazy good. the room got crowded during his set and hard to find space to dance but we were so stoked to see him play and in such an awesome room going off. I went mostly to see christopher and his set made me forget every shitty moment of the day. he had the girl singer from little rush live at the end and she was pretty hot.

cosmic gate came on after christopher but they were kinda boring so we took off to check out funk agenda, datsik and a few others. also caught showtek they were pretty bad, so went to kaskade for a while, he was pretty good. I like a couple of his songs.

Something to cheer you up mate;

Thanks! That Chistopher Lawrence video that Ian Lotts linked (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeculKgugJs&hd=1) at the beginning of his set was killing my ears even with my earplugs. I'm surprised it didn't totally kill the camera's mic. That's when I knew I couldn't stay in that stage for long. The bass was way too much in the trance area for sure.

Sweet Disposition- Temper Trap (Dirty South & Axwell remix)? that track is awesome. It's one of my faves to sing along and dance with. After Beyond, I kept hearing it my head. "a moment, a love, a dream, a laugh, a kiss, a cry, our rights, our wrongs!" beautiful =)

Calvin Harris at Beyond Wonderland 2011

What a sick party it was! Too bad they closed of Cosmic Gate because of supposed overcrowding and a bunch of us had to wait for a while to get into the tent.

Anyway here's a video I took of Calvin Harris playing.
