I'm glad the confrontation finally happened. In the last 8 episodes before this premiere, when we see Walt with his hair, at the diner, get into that car with the gun in the trunk I was like, "wtf is going on?" And it wasn't touched on again until last nights episode where they picked up briefly with him arriving back at his old house in that same car. They've been dancing around Hank finding out and then confronting Walt for so long it's time to see what the two of them do about it! Can't wait for next week.

Why didn't Hank bust him? looks kinda weird to just let him walk, especially after he's been chasing him for so much time.

The evidence is entirely circumstanstial. All it could prove is that Walter knew GB, there could have been any number of reasons for that. The lab was destroyed, and he has no proof that Walt had anything to do with it, just a solid lead. The only problem is that all of the other leads are dead.

Seriously, adults (people with jobs and stuff) still watch TV?

we wont see what actually happens with the gun until the before last episode. its titled '52' which is his bday that he was 'celebrating' that day. i only say celebrating because he continued his bday tradition with the bacon.

edit: this might be wrong. just checked another source and the name of the episode is different.

One year before he has hair.

Seriously, adults don't know what the internet is?

Could be a toupe or plugs. He never completely lost his hair from chemo anyways. He shaved his head, but he was still bald on top even though you could see hair around the sides and back. So unless he magically reversed male pattern baldness, that hair isn't real.

Posted by Lews on Aug-12-2013 21:34:

I doubt it's a plug or toupe, since he also has that Gordon Freeman beard going on.

He had a full head of hair before he started chemo, but he started losing some of it and shaved the rest off.

Either the cancer is gone, which seems unlikely, or he's done with chemo.

Maybe, but I don't think that has anything to do with his hair. I'm sure the first step of erasing his identity was making himself look as different as possible (like wearing a toupe or getting plug).

Yea but after that argument Hank knows that Walter can just take his shit and run.

It doesn't seem logical for me that a police detective would to let Walter go, i think that in real life Hank would've busted Walt-->bring Jesse to interrogation and make him flip-->put legal pressure on Skyler\track money footprints and so on.

But this is the world of Breaking Bad\The Shield\The Wire and i'm happy with it

because, like walt pretty convincingly put it, he would never see the inside of a prison cell.
and i think that tread lightly-finish was as much a vocular coup de grce as he could ever deliver.
the whole point leading up to it, he is pathetic, especially in the last sentence, something in his voice reminds me of a faux-hurting Palpatine, but then he just turns it around and delivers the last word with the might of a force storm.
and as it goes to a broader angle, you can see the garage is dust free, yet the tension is so thick you can almost see it.

that's why he didn't bust him. does he even have cancer, is he really just a car wash owner, how many has he really killed, who else knows and will he kill ME now to protect himself? These are just a handful of the thoughts that Hanks face reveal as they stand off in a visual toss-up.
For all he knows, Walt's packing heat. He already proved to know he knew by presenting the tracking device. A man with ten lives silenced to secure his own on his conscience, both could, would and should be prepared to silence another, despite this belonging to your brother-in-law.
Hank's pissing his pants there his standing. Not only has he by accident found out that Walts Heisenberg, he just fucking admitted it to him, and for some reason, he's dictating what's gonna happen? mental shell shock.

I think the episode was great. loads of sexy non-vocal interplay between the characters, and the virtual monologues were driving as usual, and some glorious confrontations where both parties participated, with nearly a finale-level of energy, makes this episode a brilliant opening and whatever's gonna happen, it sure seems like it's gonna be big. i hope they don't rush the plot too much, like how the 2nd season of V turned out (no comparison qualitywise I assure u), but they've had a while writing this, and it's not like they're getting cancelled.
it's just an ending.

oooh, and who's psyched for Better Call Saul-spinoff?
Last thing I heard Vince Gillighan said it was happening, and where Breaking Bad was 80 per cent drama and 20 per cent comedy, the spinoff would be 20 per cent drama, and 80 per cent comedy. I mean, with Bob Freakin' Odenkirk in a serious-style acting role, it can't really fail imo. I mean, I love him as a sad singing milking machine too, but like many of the new, and slightly underground, comedians - he's a great actor. being a bit crazy'll do that to you :P

Good to know it's still on! I heard about the idea being tossed around many, many months ago and last night's episode reminded me. Saul's comedic role has diminished somewhat in the last 10-15 episodes, but early Breaking Bad - dude was fucking hilarious! I'm pretty excited to see what they come up with.

I was surprised Walt brought up the GPS to Hank. Wouldn't it be to his advantage not to let Hank know that he knows he's being watched? Usually when Walt screws up it's due to hubris, but I don't see how that applies here.

Aahahahaha as if :')

Aaron Paul seems like a really down to earth, funny guy. I've been following him on Twitter and watching interviews, he seems like a really cool dude.

He was on a fishing expedition and he was determined to catch some fish. When he didn't take the worm, he pulled out the lures, as no experienced fisher packs only one kind of bait.
Remember that Walt has a couple of years experience now.
I can totally see your point about hubris, but he clearly found the need to know, greater than the security provided by staying silent.
Also, the times he's fucked up, he's always been right in the middle of things, and while the snowball seem to have started rolling again, it's at a slow pace, and I think Walt still sees things pretty clearly.

Plus, it's a real curveball to the pace of the whole series, great way to shake things up and let the viewers know their in for something a little different.

Can't wait till sunday to see how the episode starts

Yeah it's about time Hank caught on to who the real Heisenberg is. Def interested to see how these two are going to war with each other.
