since ive never mixed with anything but the stanton then i cant compare it with anything.... it seems to sound fine and everything is in order... hasnt broken at all in 2 years so theres nuthing wrong with this mixer... of course the sound quality could be better but its a stanton.... im happy with it...

I've seen a bunch of Ecler Nuos in this thread...the ST-150s I've seen a couple. Not many people bought the stantons, especially who spin trance.

I have the str8-100s though...I'm gonna post updated pictures later today (my setup is also on page like, 20, of this thread...but it's obviously changed a bit in the last few years )...for some reason my server's temporarily down.

Those stantons are becoming pretty damn popular. I hear that many clubs are using them. I know there are a also many TAs out there who will take a stanton over techs anyday.

I have the 501. Excellent bang for buck I think. Mate of mine had his over 2 years and its still working as the day he bought it and he plays tech and scratches alot so you can imagine the abuse it gets. The P&G x-fader helps alot with durability. I had the choice of a stanton and a vestax pcv i think it was and chose the stanton after seeing how much my mates has stood up against abuse. Another thing is he doesnt cover his mixer after use and all the sliders are still spot on. I cover mine all the time so mine 'should' last some time. The build quality I should mention too is spot on.

Mostly because people are unwilling to try new things...people just buy the technics. Also partially, I think, because Stanton offers some cheap models that quite frankly suck...and people just assume that because those suck, their higher models suck too. Which is not the case.

I have the STR8-100, which was stanton's "flagship" model before the ST-150 came out...and I like it more than technics, definitely.

Ohhhh...that explains what it is. I just fixed the problem, although it might take a couple hours for the changes to take effect.

2. so IS the dn-x1500 great? im hearing only complains about some fader lag.. is that true.. or fixed?

haha, yeah. Basically, my first set of headphones (sony mdr-v500) are still hangin' in there. They're not very good though, I'd only use them if I had to. Then my HDJ-1000s broke a bunch of times and are glued...so I don't trust them to last through a night. They're good for playing at home though, or using for general listening, so I keep them. Then I have my current headphones, the denons.

Yeah, it's sweet, I'm very happy with it...I have no desire to have another mixer. The lag problem was fixed a few months after it was released.

they said it should get in by next week and it should take 3 days to ship. once i get that in i'll post pics of my full setup

ive got the mackie srm 350s as my monitors

I would love one of those Sefour CDJ stands... but god damn they are expensive

WoW you've spent some money in the past month or two!!! But that is THE setup realistically. Dunno if i'd bother going for the EFX1000 just yet, Why not wait, get your whole set up together, mess around with it for a good while. Then you'll have something nice to add at a later date, to spice things up?

you can't scratch/do fun shit with your cdjs while they're on those stands, so other than getting them out of the way what is the point? I mean, I understand a lot of you don't use the platter to do anything but cue and pitch bend but if thats the case you might as well save a grand and get some duals!
