It came out fine in the actual pictures, but in the digitals it came out all noisey.

Umm not really. I'm only 18. I just worked a bit and saved up 4,500 Australian (3,500 USD). And bought dj gear instead of a car. Now instead of pumpin money into a car. I get payed to dj :P

good choice man .. dj decks over a car .. now we know where ur loyalty lies. . hahaha. but damn .. im also looking for a job in aust .. so i can actually support myself .. i went and bought myself my new carts.. ortafon concorde DJ E today.. paid $320 and walked out the shop broke.

Posted by T-Soma on May-13-2006 14:27:

Supermarket nightfill position ftw.

I just realised you live in AUS. That setup must have cost alot. There was a recent price crash on the 62 though... soooo tempting. How much did you score it for?

Posted by Danila on May-13-2006 17:10:

The 2 cdjs and djm is damn sexy together. I will take both djm and xone :

Tommy your avatar cracks me up everytime I see it. + 1

Posted by cbrendan on May-13-2006 17:36:

The xone cost me $1499 aus dollars. Crazy considering the djm cost me $1200. For $300 difference the mixers are worlds apart.

Posted by T-Soma on May-13-2006 17:44:

Nice, im considering buying one now!
Ill have to wait abit but i think i will be much happier if i get an xone instead of a dnx500!
Dont we Australians sleep!?

Hehe i thaught my dp was kinda stupid but i still like it.

Does computer mixin count as a bedroom dj mmmm ? Dont start with mp3 kiddie shit , I have decks that I dont use and transfer most my records to mp3.

Anyways :

Looks very sleek. Do you use the steering wheel for mixing?? haha.
Im guessing you play alot of games?

Posted by Greedy on May-14-2006 03:36:

Cheers m8. Yeah im big into my games, love battlefield 2, half life 2 etc , would be more into my racing games though, GT legends is a good game for online racing with the wheel

I can never dj without the mixer in between the decks...

Posted by Greedy on May-14-2006 04:07:

i cant either man! but when you have little space, you sorta have to get used to it.

I am a true n00b...so I have questions:

How much did this setup cost you...I want to pursue Djing and making music as a hobby n stuff...so I want to know how to go about it...

I have no idea

Posted by serban on May-15-2006 03:24:

I moved things around and built myself a proper table to put my stuff on. I'm 6"4 so its nice not to have to bend down and mix. The table is really solid.

Any suggestions how I should start working on my setup. I have 0 knowledge so need help. I want to like try producing my own melodies - I heard Ableton is a good way to go about it. Should I buy the software and learn it or do I need something more?
