The big record companies aren't picking up Trance artists and promoting them along with Moby or Eminem because our music brings such a following of drugs. I heard from a friend of mine that Nick Warren took a pill when he was in Iceland... Anyway I hope that no-one of you begin to dislike an artist only because he does drugs, it's about the music ppl!

| One thing I was wondering about was that Marco V doesnt smoke pot! Dj Noise offered him some and he said no last year. |
drugs are part of the scene.
either get over your stupid society forced aversion to them, or do what you preach, focus on the music and forget about what other people do.
**sorry, i just get annoyed when people are all upset about drugs being linked to trance and whatnot
I know Christopher Lawrence does alot of K. My friend opened for him in St. louis and he was shoving K up his ass all night.
Biggest Drug Abusers as deejays
tall paul - cokehead
sandra collins - heavy drug user..heavy smoker..heavy drinker
Sasha - heavy drug user...heavy smoker..heavy drinker
remember
drug addiction killed the following deejays
larry levan, ron hardy and walter gibbons
the worst has to be marc spoon
-one of the few deejays actually arrested for E in Ibiza.
Oakie the Cokie was spotted sniffing coke off a record.
I'll add it to the list.

Sandra Collins big on coke & heavy drinker. When she used to lived in Chicago (back in the day) she was normally late for gigs & would show up all jacked up.

All concerts with like the exception of Yanni atract drug use...the problem is the US where you can go to a concert, do drugs and get hurt or killed and then sue the venue. If people were left responsible for their own behaviour, there wouldn't be so many problems in having raves and such.

| Originally posted by skaborough fats No... the reason Trance isn't the new 'dance' music is it's too long, there are more legal issues with all the sampling (though thats debatable) and it's too hard to put a sellable face to the music. Labels like their poster people. They sell the image of the star as much as they sell the music. The drug thing has very little to do with it... it's just used as an excuse. If you think otherwise then explaine the popularity of Hip-Hop. Shit, that's a big part of Snoops popularity (my ass he quit). The majority of gangsta shit has drugs in it... just listen. It's all marketability and the population at large. If you want Trance to hit it BIG find a champion who's face can be sold. If you look at DJ's (generally) as they get more popular their tracks get shorter. Cheers, Fats |
