Yeah i agree but not in such large font.
My djm 300 only shows whole beats so it can give you an idea but good fucking luck just using it alone to beat match. Basically everything has been said by everyone above.

Beat counters are only down to 1/10th of a beat - so even if they were exact (which they arent), you still couldnt get the beats together perfectly just using both bpms. A counter could help you get in the general pitch area quickly - then its quite easy to do fine adjustments with your ears and get them exactly together.]
That said, i dont and wouldnt use them - though it would certainly give you more time to get the beats together perfectly.....

It'll throw you way off if you have a bassdrum-bassdrum-snare-bassdrum-bassdrum-bassdrum-snare scheme. |
i totally disagree with beat counters.... and i totally disagree with cd mixing too ..... afterall the club culture gave birth to what we have now, thru turntablism. i have strong views on CD mixing and BPM counters, cos it ruins the whole point of how well you can mix and how good you are as a DJ
I can't stand BPM counters. If anything, they screw up my mixing because they distract me. I feel like putting some masking tape in my record bag so any place I go I can temporarily cover them up.
