jesus- calm down guys!!! some of this glow loyalty is just getting out of hand!!! i live in the dc area and that does not mean i would talk shit about new york or its vibe. the new york vibe is USUALLY off the hook. as for glow, its got 2 GREAT things going for it:
solid promotion, and that dj booth. i love the dj booth and the intimacy offered for interaction...... BUT everything else about glow's venue ie. INSOMNIA -- is shit. sound system is horrible no matter what they haev to say!! it took over 24 hours for my ears to stop ringing the last time i was there! mids are so powerful but there is no bass. again, i blame the club... and glow is not really a club, its a party.
i wish the roxy had a dj booth like glow. i hate how you get to barely see any more than a dj's head. at glow i watched pvd fuckin the effects, mixer, and just about everything else... gotta love the booth.

Considering I'm not too hyped to see Tiesto in the first place, I'm staying in town and hitting him up at Glow. Regardless, DC is the better deal. Ferry chose us over anywhere else to film his dvd, and there's gotta be a reason for it...

I think either one you go to will take away just as much time from studying for your finals. Actually, NY might be worse since you have to factor in the road trip and everything.

Glow sucks the big one. Shitty soundsystem, shitty vibe, too many Asian Mafioso's. Too many guys grabbin' girls like they have a right. Too many assholes, bad lighting, and a bad dancefloor.

Hmmm... ROXY! Which sucks too, but its still 200000x better than Glow. Glow reminds me of a smaller Exit. And if you disagree just go to both in the same weekend. You will see what I mean.

Sorry to trample on ya'll Glow lovers but ya'll need a damn reality check. Good talent, otherwise. bleh

Everything you say is pretty much true, but when you bring in the right DJ all those Asian mafiosos and freak daddies seemed to get pushed to the very back by all the real Trance lovers. Just go to any Ferry or Armin show and you'll see what I mean. Oh wait, you think Glow sucks so you'll probably never show. Oh well, it's not like your seat can't be replaced by a hot DC chick ;-)

on the contrary I have been to both. I'll give AvB credit, that was the best crowd I have seen at Glow. Ferry was better than a normal night, but still wayyyyy too many assholes for my liking. As for hot DC chicks... they only go with their boyfriends. But I suppose eye candy is nice.

here are my reasons to stay in dc.

1. DC TAs are more fun.
2. TOLL going to NY will rape u.
3. DC is cheaper
4. Harder to buy alchy in NY. A guy is required to show 2 separate IDs if buying two alchy drinks.
5. Can barely see the DJ in NY
6. NY bouncers are bigger dicks than DC and actually lie to u.
7. why go to another state for TIESTO?
8. Longer tiesto set might actually be detrimental.

eeeek i still dont know! i was all set to go to NY but now my friends are telling me they dont think they can afford to make that long trip. i would drive up alone and meet my bf and some of ya'll, but i dont think my (anal) parents would be too thrilled about me going to the city...so now i think my chances of going to glow are increasing...hmmm i cant tell how i feel about this! i wanted NY but ill always love dc....

There's nothing wrong with seeing Tiesto at Glow. There's a good chance the set he brings to Roxy will be very similar to the one he brings to Glow. I mean, Roxy is only the day before!

If anything, your boyfriend should be coming down to DC to see you!

Not the other way around
