Lol @ mikefassy, i love genre whoring.. my mind is very categorical. Nevertheless, i dont think i can place this tune in any one box!! And that is one reason why it's so good. it breaks down the traditional boundaries between trance and progressive and other electronic genres. If i had to try to stick a label i would say its uplifting-vocal-progressive-orgasm-inducing-tunage! I really like how it starts out as a slower simpler vocal tune and then builds into a dancefloor monster that i could see myself go crazy to in a club.. just an amazing production, the best yet by Gabriel and Dresden, and that's saying something!! G & D give the USA a reason to be proud of its electronic music environment.. awesome job dave and josh!!

and to answer the original question, this is not just a "song" beacuse of the 4/4 beat, the drumkit used, the buildups, the length, etc, etc..

don't argue please, Andain - Beautiful Things = Progressive Trance

Personally I describe Andain - Beautiful Things under the 'Perfection in Sound' catagory.

My best song of 2003, if not ever.
