that was my point exactly...I spend enough money on going to his gigs, I dont need to spend money on his CD's

yeah yeah i know...same thing happened with PVDs PoD and he's still around but i still think we should support the artists by buying their shit, they still need sum motivation to make stuff

yea i agree that we should support artists... but i dont htink tiesto is worried... he makes like over 50 grand every night he spins.

Posted by -AbsurD- on Apr-30-2003 20:02:

i didnt like the first cd at all... the second cd is pretty good tho...
BUT
mixing is piss poor.. (what else do u expect from Tiesto)
But i mean... i understand if u loose a beat on a live gig, but when u make a fuckin CD... why cant u mix it perfectly? i mean..seriously... its a fuckin CD!!!

Posted by Ste on Apr-30-2003 20:04:

i think you should not buy it so you dont continue to feed tie$to's cash cow.

Posted by webbie on Apr-30-2003 22:39:

I will absolutley not buy it.
I downloaded it a few days ago, gave it about 20 minutes and then
threw it away. Mixing was, as someone else mentioned, pisspoor.
Worthless. Boring mixing, at some points I think I could have done
a better job myself.

Strange trackselection too, some tracks just didnt blend together.
Deleted it after about 20 minutes, didnt give it another thought.
Sorry Tisto, gotta do better then that.
Alot better.

Posted by RenderedDream on Apr-30-2003 23:09:

i don't even like most of the tracks lolool
i'm not even gonna download it

Posted by nettwerk on May-01-2003 00:05:

First I'll DL it, and only then I'll buy it, if I like it, and only it if it's released here (Portugal).

this is a funny true
tiesto mixed many worth tracks with lamest stuff... thats horrible

Posted by Joca on May-01-2003 02:41:

I haven't downloaded it nor will I buy it. He's been spining some of the tracks on Nyana for some time now. It's just like a live set and he's trying to make money off it, IMO

Posted by apostrophe on May-01-2003 02:50:

i'm in china.. therefore i can't get the cd yet. where can i download this??
i'm going back to the USA in june for university, but i just dont want to wait that long...

Help?

Posted by rock_roll18 on May-01-2003 02:59:

apostrophe..
Do I look like a mp3 supplier or the Salvation Army
How many times have you guys to be told...not to ask for mp3z on here...especially such a crap mix CD

Posted by Nadi on May-01-2003 03:15:

I won't be buying this cd. The first disk is crap, and the second disk is only average in tune selection. The mixing on both is poor. I might keep it for a few weeks but i dont envision listening to it often.

Posted by OhioTranceFan on May-01-2003 03:46:

After downloading this cd for a listen, I have also decided not to buy it. Though I wouldnt go so far as to call the mixing shite and i would say the track selection is decent, I feel like tiesto is trying to pull one over on us. This cd is good for maybe someone like me who is average at spinning but this man is supposed to be the #1 dj in the world This cd is nowhere on par with some of his earlier greater work (Magik 3-6, FP 4,5, etc) and im really disappointed at this release.

on an on topic note though, id like to agree that if youre going to download this cd and you do like it, you should go buy it. I was kind of alarmed at the speed at which this spread through many many p2p communities, but i assume it wouldve happened anyways. I know you guys say dont support the machine, but I think that its still best, as online sharing kind of involves some responsibilites....imo anyways...

Posted by rudeboy69 on May-01-2003 04:11:

it does not matter that you people own every single vinyle or heard every song in the cd of nyana.....
you listen for dj's talent and skill

personal, i would download it first as sample
if i like it, then it is always nice to own the original cd

just my $.02

Posted by kevmetric on May-01-2003 04:40:

There's no doubt CD1 is lame, boring to the
extreme... but CD2 sees the caffeine kicking in,
with Tiesto selecting some numbers, having a good
beat, and reasonable okay ...listenable, while CD1
is a throw-away.

Nothing like Ferry Corsten's best stuff, Magik,
Forbidden Paradise, SOS1 and SOS2, or Tiesto's
best live gigs of 2000 and 2001 ...

Maybe he's trying to diversify, change, become
more original.

Posted by Strike on May-01-2003 05:00:

well i didn't d/l this
and i won't bother to
i already made up my mind that i'm gonna be buying this when it comes out

So let's go out and buy a cd where 75% of the tracks are played out.

I've heard Tiesto's talent and skill a lot so I don't really need to buy this cd. I like Tiesto a lot more for his tracks selection rather then his skill...........

SO TRACK SELECTION > SKILLED DJ

as BEEMA had putted, most of tunes we have already heard and downloaded , there is no need to buy the cd!

you buy it because it is a good mix by a good DJ.

Posted by Dj Smitty20 on May-01-2003 09:24:

Well...all you peeps bitching about the tracks being old.....not really. Most people who don't download everything like some of us in here will still find Nyana to be a new experience and will love it.

Back when the Magiks were coming out, the tracks weren't brand new and fresh when the cd came out. It's just that we didn't all download them right away. The internet is so fast now and it amazes me that cd's get on file sharing programs as quick as they do. It's great to dload music but it has its downside.....any new cd's are already old by the time they come out.

Oh, and about the whole "Tiesto cash cow" thing....it's not like he brings out 10 cd's a year!!! Lately, he's been releasing only one per year. It's been nearly a year since ISOS3 came out...geez!!

Posted by King_Mack on May-01-2003 19:49:

Rasta

Im gonna buy it, regardless of some of the tracks being played out. I love the compilation, and i love the dj, so shelling out 30 bucks isnt that bad

Posted by golden_Rich on May-01-2003 21:10:

This has probably been stated somewhere before - although i've seen loads of different release dates for Nyana.

Whens the official U.K release date please?
