Personally i think that thugs/ginos think just as bad of us as some think just as bad of them. I mean yes, thugs/ginos might have a certain dress code or have certain ethics and morals that are slightly unorthdox to some of us but yet again they're only human and i doubt that they're any more perfect than we pretend to be.

Just imagine what they think of us: XTC popping, special K pushing, candy ravers who all we do is listen to extra repetetive loops of the same synths day in and day out that can cause permenant boredom to any if not all ppl living on earth!

now, we have to imagine it takes certain ppl to apperciate electronica and ginos happened to be a whole lot closer on the music scale than thugs.

If it's about personality, it's a standard thing: commercialism is the reason why we might see them the way they are. When it comes to music: to each his own.

I associate myself with such a wide variety of people that it really doesn't matter to me. You could do the same as what's been done in this thread with goth, punk, preppy, hippie, nerd, etc. And, no, I'm not bashing the thread or its creator.

that's why the statement which I made was stereotyping a tranceaddict...much like everyone is stereotyping gino's and thugs in this thread (it seems to be a common discussion actually). Just because you know one gino who is a complete ass doesn't mean they all are...same with thugs...

it's people who actually go out of their way to BE a gino or a thug that I wouldn't like to see in my school. if they fit the lifestyle of a gino/thug by being themselves than that's A-OK

Yup. I agree. Can't judge a whole group of people just cause one is an ass.

I'm imagining that dEsidEL was in a situation were a group of GiNOs made fun of him or made an obvious statement (like him being a loser) and now he's just mad at the world.

they both suck. me i listen to trance and reggae, some hip hop, i dress the way i want too. but these people just cuz their white they wanna bee gino's, and jus cuz blak people r blak they wanna be thug wanna bees. so i dunno, canada is a fuked up country right now, too many cuyltures, especially the paki ones, cant stand paki's. offence or not, i dunt care, lol. but serioulsly people need to realize they need to to wat they wanna do, not copy other people, cuz if ur jus trying to be someone else, wats the point of living? theres only one life.

With "thugs"/"ginos" and whatnot... I think the crux of the reason why people will explicitly try to fit these stereotypes is to fit in with a larger group of people.. thus being "cool".

Or maybe i've just recycled everybody else's thoughts.

Most Ginos / Thugs / Punks / Candy Ravers / Nerds / Jocks / whatever the hell you want to stereotype against, are annoying purely because of their immaturity, and not some inherent problem with their "subculture." These people haven't developed any sense of individuality or free thought yet, so they conform to the stereotypes and stick to their cliques.

Go to university and you will hopefully learn to appreciate this thing called "diversity" because you'll see people from all over the country and all over the world, not just the local culture. Nobody wants a homogeneous club culture that wears cargo pants and loose T-shirts either (not that I have a problem with that, but if nobody wore anything else, it would suck). Individuality is where it's at no matter what community you belong to.

Personally, I dislike engineers in general. They're no damn fun at all (and I AM one)! You guys need to learn some ethnic and cultural tolerance.
