Because it covers such a wide variety of genres and I was too lazy to categorize each of those tunes hence lumping them into "progressive". *shrug*

yoji biomehanika - never end [derler & klitzing remix]
i really dig gabriel and dresden basslines. pvd has some interesting stuff as well.

shyfx, although not trance, can pull off some nice stuff. always loved taucher's basslines, but there's one track that has just a massive beat that you can't ignore. too bad it was played out like britney spears.

ppk - resuRection [space club mix]

They ussually mean the low sounds(s) of the track, usually there is one partricularly dominant one we call the Bass-line, since it is usually composed from low sound in a series (line) of notes, some Trance tracks use the common "Off-beat" bassline, which just goes: "Kick-BASS-Kick-BASS", think Marc Aurel - Running, Arome - Hands Up! (DJ Scot Project remix), Cosmic Gate - Raging etc.

As for the topic, Ferry ownz Armin is pretty nice too and Flutlicht usually do wonders, combining the war offbeat bassline with their hollow, energetic high one.
