rofl nukzy is just odd and his dad attracts more birds then him so go figure

concerning music well my dad dances to stuff when I play it .... I even burn him livesets and he listens to asot whenever he's not busy

my mom ... depends ..... sometimes she likes it sometimes not .... I tend to play her smoother stuff ... but she finds it way too repititious ( go figure she's watching american idol right now )

Posted by fuct4less on May-14-2003 01:51:

i dont let my parents listen to much trance; however my mom is extremely christian and i make sure to always play my most satanic music whenever she
is around, shit like cannibal corpse and dying fetus

Posted by TrAnCeAkI on May-14-2003 02:16:

HELL YEAH aplz!! ur mom i love her she likes KAI! FFS YES!

Posted by tranceman78 on May-14-2003 04:10:

my mom calls just about everything i listen to "that techno shit", so i don't thinks she's too into it. In fact there is almost no one in my immediate circle of friends and family who like electronica at all. I've just recently started to get my girlfriend into trance, but so far all she likes is stuff with vocals, but oh well, it's a start.

Eleni babe..I got a brand new Kai Tracid studio mix..you want? :]

Posted by fastmp3 on May-14-2003 05:19:

my parents used to call it "blasphemous music " (spelling ?)

Posted by Tranc3 on May-14-2003 09:07:

Hahaha my Dad introduced me to trance, there was a show where a local DJ would play for about 4 hours every Saturday on the radio from like 10-2am, and my dad was like "Hey this is a pretty good show, you should listen to it"

Of course he listens to pretty much anything though, I mean we have stuff from recordings of Buddhist Monks doing their chants to a group called Manu Chau (A really cool fusion of a lot of different styles) to classical tracks to (ughh...) some pop music to romance songs, jazz, Spanish rap...

Fuck my parents have fucking everything except for mainstream rap...

Before that the only electronica I had was "Music for the Jilted Generation" by The Prodigy, still an excellent CD btw

Yeah and my mom likes it too, and so does my brother, hahaha I've bruned stuff for all of them, hehe. I'm even getting most of my friends to at least appreciate some of it.

my dad got me into house music and acid house like in the late 80's and then i just stuck to dance music from there, i was only young so it was really hard to dig deep into it, but after house i was into like old skool breakbeat hardcore and stuff like that, then pretty much been thru every style since then.

my dad loves motown and northern soul, which i kinda like too

Posted by Ajay on May-14-2003 23:57:

Haha my parents cant stand it especially my mum :s

But my dad used to buy me 3 rave tapes a week when i was like 9

wierd eh

Posted by Poyson IV on May-15-2003 01:59:

my mom can't stand the music but she does love "mindcircus" and "southern sun"

Bahaha.

I knew a dude from one of my photography classes. I couldn't understand a word he said because he had such a thick accent. I don't know what part of UK he was from. I can understand the BBC news though hehe.

my parents don't care much, but kinda hate it.

But I've got an uncle that asked me to burn an mp3 cd with trance and prog for him
Also, the first trance cd's I ever heard were his.. some old cd called World of Trance vol.8, and a compilation that had For An Angel and Binary Finary on it

Posted by silveride on May-15-2003 18:02:

So.. I teach sailing to kids here in Miami. The other day I had my cd player with an ASOT set I had burned to lesten to the new tracks. One of the kids (15 yrs old) asks "what are you listening to?" I said "trance, wanna hear?" The kid comes back to me and says "HAHA Dude thats the same stuff my dad blasts at the house every day!" LOL but the funniest thing is that the kid's dad is my Boss

Posted by Psionic on May-16-2003 01:57:

For all you who have parents/relatives who like trance/prog/whatever, you are all lucky s.o.b's. My parents think its SOOOO boring.
