CDJ 800 also has $100.00 rebate, I think 1000s are better model. jmo

But I'm from Holland, so I don't have any rebate. I'll buy them in Germany, cause in Holland the CDJ's are too expensive. In Germany they are a lot cheaper.

How much cheaper exactly?

In Germany it cost me 698 for one player. In Holland it's about 850 - 899 for one player.

It's a whole lot of money. I was thinking about buying the Pioneer CDJ's but since I'm not planning on spinning on parties I feel it's too much money just for a hobby. Well, then I have money for an Apple iPod

i have the stanton sk-6f (not on your list, hehe).
my advice is not to get it, ugh! i hate it. there is no volume change from 3 to 10 whatsoever, the bass doesn't get killed all the way, and i'm forced to use the gains in conjunction with the volume faders if i want a smooth fade in/out.
bleh!
can't wait to get another mixer in time...

Hey, I'm new to the board.... I've had the Vestax 275 for over a year now and love it... I've never had any problems with it and it's worked great ever since I got it... Bought it @ Mars music when they went bankrupt for $200.00.
I mix with two turntables and 2 cdj 700's on it.

Next mixer probably an Allen & Heath x-one or rane 2016. But that's probably a year away...

Welcome to the board, you got a killer deal on your mixer! i paid $500 US for mine.

Wow. That's more than a technics 1200 mk3, or TTX1 here....

How much are turntables there? Cheaper?

You know the Xone:62 has two crossfader curves. One smooth with center dip, and one sharper without center attenuation. The sharp curve has been sharpened even more.

I got the plans from an Allen&Heath engineer. Got them somewhere still. Just involves replacing a resistor and a capacitator.

Posted by JohnSmith on May-20-2003 20:17:

hmm.. why would you want it sharper, do you scratch? and i thought i recalled you saying that you only used the line faders anyway?

On an unrelated note, looks like the DJM600 is catching up to the PCV275 as most popular mixer.

Posted by Fresh on May-20-2003 22:03:

DJM 500. I like it alot, has everything I need and had it for over 2 years... but I'd buy an A&H Xone 62 if I had the cash.

Currently Stanton RM-3s. I hope to upgrade to a Vestax pcv-275 this summer...

Posted by Abscond on May-21-2003 01:54:

I have the Numark Matrix 3 but once I save up I'm definitely upgrading. It's not too bad for a starter though.

I have the Numark PPD01

Posted by JohnSmith on May-21-2003 02:11:

I only use line faders when mixing indeed. And I also said I used the xfader when doing cuts (tricks), mainly during techno sets.

DJM 500. very happy with it

Allen&Heath xone 62

Posted by JohnSmith on May-22-2003 21:35:

nice dude!

well, it's neck and neck DJM600 and PCV275 seem to be the most popular.

Posted by Biz:erk on May-22-2003 23:00:

My Numark 3001 is pure quality. The volume faders are klazz to move. Only prob I have with it is dust in the Xfader???

Posted by chrome on May-23-2003 01:12:
