Where did you get them from ???? Have you contacted Pioneer??? They are really good about just replacing them rather then making customers wait for repairs.

i decided on what im gonna do..im going to goto guitar center and buy a new pair of pioneer hdj1000 headphones than in a week im gonna take the ones that broke and put them in the box and bring em back to guitar center and say they broke on me and i want a complete refund and there I go with a brand new pair of headphones

Whats the general thought on HD25s around here? I own a pair and perosnally love them..

i have the hd25. best cans i've ever used.
good sound, good isolation, comfortable, adjustable and if something breaks or wears out, every part is replaceable.


a bit pricy, but worth every penny.

The exact same thing happend to me.

Pioneer HDJ1000= piece of shit

At least with the sony,,, the flaw is only cosmetic.

The Sony (MDR-V700DJ) is a piece of sh*t, as well: When that swivel joints crack, it is only a matter of time before the wires inside the MDR-V700 starts breaking or losing connection! That means that it may not be long after the joints start cracking before one or both of the MDR-V700DJ's earpieces die out.

In short, the Pioneer HDJ-1000 suffers from quality-control problems, while the Sony MDR-V700DJ suffers from serious design flaws. In both cases, they aren't anywhere near as reliable as they should be.

Actually,,, this doesn't affect the sound quality. Aside from this flaw in it's design,,, the sony700 are the best headphones for club use IMO.

Maybe the first sentence is true, but IMHO the sound quality on the sony700 is terrible to begin with, especially for the price: There's absolutely no separation between instruments whatsoever from that 'phone (most of the sounds within the same frequency range get squashed together in a bad way), there's no detail at all whatsoever. That means that it's all too easy for even seasoned veterans to screw up the beatmatching all too often with the sony700. In fact, several seasoned veteran trance DJs that I know had messed up the beatmatching all too frequently when they had used the sony700's, because they had beatmatched using only the bass - yet they still got it wrong anyway (despite many years of experience), because they couldn't hear any highs whatsoever over that ridiculously boomy bass, and they couldn't hear any detail whatsoever from those sony700's. (And yeah, even trance music is more than just bass and highs; it too offers at least some detail and separation.)

It's not just the ridiculously boomy mid-bass that screws up the sony700; it's the near-complete lack of detail rendering that gives that 'phone a big thumbs down in my book.

I'll agree with your statement about the seperation or whatever,,, however I have noticed this only when the volume is turned up too loud. Other than that,,, I don't have any problems with mine (this being the second pair I have baught).
