Well, not to sound pompous to you or anyone else in college, but when you get out of college and begin to read things a little closer in the real world on your own (as opposed to "required reading"), you start to see things a little differently. As far as the media goes, you will have a very difficult time convincing me that it is liberally biased these days, considering all the corporate backing.

Oh sure, liberals have their flaws as well. That's why I do my best to read from both sides of the aisle. But in terms of media coverage, I have a very difficult time thinking it is liberally biased.

Michael Moore is an american actor/director. he's often poked fun at american politicians and the american way of life. He had a great television show called "the awful truth" a long time ago. I think he also did one called SCTV, but i could be wrong.

Whiskers, I wasn't trying to patronize you, but I apologize if I came off that way. As you may know, I'm not terribly partial to hackjobs on personal websites. Not that I particularly like Moore's self-aggrandizing website too much (though I do appreciate his links to other websites and info.). And I also realize this guy you know isin't a particular friend of yours. Regardless, I'll still frown upon his actions, as I would anyone who maliciously hacks or uses their hacking skills for anything but constructive purposes. And he still could use a lawyer, regardless of his age.

i apologize too, i was a bit jumpy. and i myself don't like what he's doing. and though he's not the best friend of mine, i'm still concerned about his fate.

Now I'm currently reading Greg Palast's "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy", and Alterman's "What Liberal Media?". Some pretty interesting sh$t. I will continue to read from both sides of the aisle, but from my standpoint I'm beginning to shift a little more towards the left. I feel sorry for the ignorant who choose not to see both sides of the story and decide for themselves, but rather be pursuaded by the government and/or media make decisions for them.

I actually got it from another local forum in a political argument thread. I believe it comes from the book, "What Liberal Media? The Truth About Bias and the News", by Eric Alterman. I have the book at home and haven't opened it up yet. I'll check after work to see, but I'm pretty sure this is the source. From what I've read on it's reviews, it's more or less a rebuttal to Ann Coulter's "Slander" and Bernard Goldberg's "Bias" - two Neo-Conservatives who view the media being extremely liberal. From what I gather, Alterman brings up some very interesting points, but also reveals his particular ultra-liberal bias in his arguments.
