OK, i've heard it and i must say: not bad. it indeed sounds like the original, no distorted vocals, some nice breaks in the break...but it doesn't come close to the awesome 93 returning mix nor the original.

7.5/10

Cool

tbh, this is rather shite in comparison with holden's own mixes

Posted by Aya Brea on Jun-13-2003 20:04:

i think it's damn good. of course it doesn't beat the original and returning 93 mix but it's quality.

Posted by dEEkAy on Jun-14-2003 01:50:

nice track...great buildup...but somehow a bit of the energy and atmosphere gets lost to the end

Posted by DJPrototypeX on Jun-14-2003 02:52:

pretty good rmx. not as solid as the original nor the 93 returning mix, but its a sweet ass try nonetheless. gotta agree with dEEkAy, towards the end, u feel like u didnt go nowhere kinda. i sat here wonderin where the pumpingness of the song went. the breaks are sweet though, wouldnt mind a Hiver & Hammer Break Mix

Posted by robstar on Jun-14-2003 10:33:

^ Agree!
A H&H break mix would great!!
But I still rank the H&H mix pretty high, I like it alot!

Posted by Wilko on Jun-20-2003 00:51:

Really awesome remix this is, i've always thought very highly of Hiver & Hammer, their remix of 'Time Is The Healer' is still one of my all time favs! Gives me a chance to drop this tune into just past peak time in one of my sets now, as it has a kinda nice techy feeling beat to it (or at least i think so!).

9/10 - awesome remix, big props H&H again!

Posted by sash on Jun-20-2003 01:42:

i thought it was ok, not excellent. nothing can beat the 93 returning mix though

Posted by annon185 on Jun-20-2003 21:37:

yeah....the 93 mix is pretty much untouchable at this point

Posted by Cobalt on Jun-20-2003 22:21:

Just bought it today. I've usually been a critic of Hiver & Hammer, but this is a great remix to compliment the original and returning 93 mixes (all three of which are on this release). It needs a bit more of an energy peak near the end, but has a fantastic bassline: driving and a bit tech-trancy.

Better than most of the boring schlock we've being flooded with lately, for sure.

Posted by Phunky1 on Jun-20-2003 23:16:

you can tell Hiver & Hammer made this remix without looking at the title. Nothing with ever beat the Returning 93' mix IMO...just fantastic!

Posted by tc-fan on Jun-21-2003 03:18:

well i heard it and i like it cuase its diff from the other mixes...thats what makes it good imo..when you use creativity..

Posted by Matt on Jun-21-2003 15:40:

I got the vinyl about a week or two ago.

Very nice remix, it kinda takes Nothing to a much 'harder' level.

Posted by _Marco_ on Jun-22-2003 21:29:

indeed a nice remix even if its not outstanding, H&H tried something different for this song and imo its well produced
6.5/10

Posted by [mart] on Jun-22-2003 22:58:

I tried to give it a chance but unfortunately the Hiver & Hammer remix just fails to hit the spot this time Mix Two therefore remains my favourite version

Posted by Dublin Guy on Jun-22-2003 23:08:

it's absoutly muck imo, wudnt let it near a deck thats being serious.....

Posted by chris_norris on Jun-23-2003 00:00:

It's not that bad I reckon. Not great either though.

Posted by trancendence on Jun-23-2003 10:15:

Confused

The 93 returning is better IMO. But both are used in different parts of the set. 93 is better for opening or close to it and Hiver and Hammer is used for mid to end part used.

Posted by Mr.Mystery on Jun-23-2003 10:43:

Quite bland... did nothing for me.

I'd have to agree.

maybe sounds a bit silly but Holden&Thompson-Nothing(93 returning mix-from myana)i love it so so much!it remind me summer holidays!

The problem with this thread is that James' own mixes are completely different to h&h's sound. Prog heads will prefer James' mixes (Returning 93 mix for me if you care) and others (whatever you call yourselves) that prefer h&h's sound will prefer their mix...
Of course if you like both styles this post is pointless tho...

Well, actually, I don't care much for prog yet I still prefer the 93 Returning Mix...

it's a pretty good track but like many of u said, nothing compared to 93 Returning Mix. i wish H&H remix woulda had vocals throughout the whole song and not only in the beginning half

Posted by starstarman on Jun-29-2003 07:47:

If you like the typical H&H sound, this one wouldn't disappoint nor impress you much.

I don't get it why people keep comparing this remix with the returnin 93 mix. H&H's one is based on the original and it's meant to bring the project's sound fuse with the sample sent to fit for different styles dj. The returnin 93 mix is a total remake by the producer of the tune himself and of cos he'd experiment anything he wants. There's no point comparing different remixes of the same tune as "good" or "bad" depends on your own taste at all.

don't mind me
