EDC was alrite overall. I definitely missed the vibe. The location pissed me off. I guess I expected too much from EDC. The music was like a rollercoaster ride, a mix of good and bad tunes. It was good to meet Meniphesto. Definitely gotta get drunk on your 21st b-day @ Nocturnal Wonderland.

Next up for me is...

7.4.03 - Mauro Picotto @ Red
7.6.03 - Oakenfold @ Hollywood Bowl
7.19.03 - Saeed & Palash / GABRIEL & DRESDEN @ Giant
8.30.03 - Paul Van Dyk @ Nocturnal Wonderland

May not go see Mauro, but I'll definitely go see the others.

After leaving EDC I collected a bunch of flyers and didn't get a chance to look at them. I asked Maniphesto where he got the information on PvD being at Nocturnal Wonderland and he told me that it was on the flyer. So I pulled out the Nocturnal Wonderland flyer and it shows PvD as the main headliner.

BTW, August 30th is on a Saturday. Cheers.

shit EDC was hella fun, Christopher Lawrence tore all the rollers a new one, DJ dan was off the hook too. was just wondering if u guys possibly have the tracklist for Christopher Lawrence's set or DJ Dan's? soneone please help!!

Yep, Aug 30 is a Saturday.

PvD's tour dates do have him in the US at that time, but nothing for August 30. August 29 in Dallas, nothing for Aug 30, and for August 31, it just says "USA" and tba for where....

Maybe that means if he plays down there on August 30, the August 31 slot will be up here in SF again. *crosses fingers*

First off, PvD is spinning on August 31st German time, meaning that he's spinning on August 30th our time.

For example, let's say it is August 30th right now and that we are all at Nocturnal Wonderland listening to PvD. Over in Germany it's already August 31st. It would make sense for PvD's website to follow German time and not our time. Is this clear guys?

As I said in the other thread...

The schedules go by the dates of the evening where the event is occuring from all accounts I know of in the past.

For example, he played here on the night of June 21 (although it was really June 22 at 1am when he came one and sometime in the late morning back in Germany), but his gigs schedule still says June 21.

Did he or did he not spin down in LA on the night of Sunday, June 22? Well, if that's the case then his site should surely say he spun down there on June 23 if it went by German time. But nope, it says June 22.

Dancing Dude

geeeez, get a little more sassy people.

Well you know these events do tend to go into the next day. The rave is schedule for the 30 but since it is a rave more then likly PvD will b spinning on the 31

C Lawrence sucked... i don't know what kind of style he was going for because nothing was ever constant, went from hard to cheese to NRG to crappy. thank god sandra collins came on and saved the night in that room...

POTD was the highlight of the night, they rocked it like nobodys business. DJ Rap...still hot.

so yeah an alright time, but i guess i'm just really freakin jaded we'll see how massives get from here on out.

Gah, I guess I did sound that way - it was unintentional. Anyhow, I was just trying to state that going by the actual tour dates and the dates listed on PvD's site (and every other DJ site I've pretty much ever read), the dates on it go by the local evening dates of where the event takes place, and not the home of the DJ. That's all

Sorry if I came off sounding all bitchy.

Posted by sebby on Jul-02-2003 02:54:

No you didn't sound bitchy at all. I completely understand where you were going at about the gigs date and all. Makes sense! I guess all we can do now is wait and see.
