Why the fuck is there a poll about this?

Get somebody in charge (prefereably who isn't DJ'ing on the night so they're available throughout it). Anybody else who wants to be involved can volunteer and can then help out as asked.

You can't organise a clubnight via forum polls ffs.

Reading this i am very dissapointed - wtf has got with u lot ?

The line up was submitted a long time ago, Kuffdam was always in the line up for the 1st UKTA night, When O'Bir was going to play for us, HE was the headline cos of his experience in playing live clubs, and the fact that He is a NAME - to help pull in ppl to come hear us spin.
Since the sad event of O'Bir not being able to spin for us cos of legal probs with his management team, Kuffdam got the headline spot for the same reasons as Jon - His experience in playing Live events, the fact that He has being playing at clubs for a long time and the fact that He can Mix, can DJ, can read the crowd and in general put on a good show that ppl enjoy.
If the only critic of his style (from a post i saw in the UKTA chat room) is that he played Castles in the Sky then count me out from DJing too cos i have played castles in the sky many a time at clubs.
U forget the essence of DJing - u aint playing to please yourself !
u are playing to please the crowd and if the crowd wants castles in the sky u fucking well play it!

we all draw the line at certain tracks like we would never play Dj Sammy of Be Angeled (cept coup perhaps) but u have to drop some cheese now and then to get the crowd dancing, they recognise tracks and when they do, they react to them.

as for the Dj Money thing - I always wanted a B2B set for the UKTA night - originally it was going to be Gibbo and Luke - but they asked not to do a b2b - so then it was gonna be me and jeff do a b2b - Jeff's experience has grown so i decided it would be better for him to do a solo set so when Kuffdam approched me with the idea of him and Dj money doing a B2B i jumped at the chance - B2B's are fun, getting 2 dj's to do this is a rareity and from experience - hardwick Vs Bond for example - has always had a good reaction -
So some of you have not heard of Dj Money - well consider this - how many ppl outside of UKTA have heard of 3F ? ?

I have spoke to DJ money and have heard him spin - he is also a dj who has experience of playing LIVE - and out of the line up, only Kuffdam and Me has that experience - now if u wanna go and play in front of a crowd and not have anyone of experience to help guide u then so be it and again count me out of it too.

Playing in front of a crowd is vastly different to playing to 20 ppl in your kitchen ! !

I am not gonna put up a 1st time DJ as headline on any event nor would any other promoter worth his salt -
Kuffdam has both the experience and talent worthy of headlining our event and I am proud that Kuffdam wanted to do this for us.

1st of all....Kuffdam isn't really a 'name' outside of scotland or wherever....therefore he wouldn't pull in any more people than joe bloggs.

2nd, Jeff maybe about as 'well known' as money nationwide....but people know him in sheff!!! which is where the night is!!! also Jeff is a UKTA which was the point of the night was it not??

finally....u shouldn't have to bring in 'ringers' just coz they've played live. Both me & Jay have played out...but neither were considered.

I think its unfair gibbo hasn't appeared in the final lineup...since he was on the 1st 1.

That PM sent to kuffy is a fucking disgrace. Infact the overall attitude in this thread is, and everything looks completely un organised and run by kids.

Whats the deal with giving kuff shit.. i mean that PM is just full of fucking childish abuse. I can see why people object to Dj Money... but Kuff? hes been around for ages, aswell as given a few UKTA's the chance to spin on tranceairwaves.

Posted by tu_face on Jun-01-2003 08:32:

for a start i never had a problem with kuffy playing.. i understand we needed the experience.. but what i dont like is when the line-up is changed without word to anyone. i mean, fair enuff neo is sorting out the lineups and everything, he has all the right contacts.. but with this dj money thing, to be honest i would have thought he would have run the idea past us first.. the original post of the thread was edited on april 28th.. i found out the day before yesterday (not everyone reads the first post of massive threads every day). even if the guy does have experience playing in clubs, the ppl that will b coming to our night wont know that, they wont know him to be any different from me, luke or dave. i thought the idea of getting headliners in was to pull the crowd in..

this is where i thought goldenscan came in, but that idea seems to have been pissed out the window. i mean ye fair enough ppl arnt gunna flock to see me DJ (other than a few mates) but really.. who is gunna come for dj money? and i dont see that him being there is gunna make any difference to the level of experience.. both neo + kuff are both experienced so if kuff was playing b2b with money we r still getting the same amount of experience.

fray was out of order sending that PM, especially as he hasnt really had anything to do with the organisation of the night. but with the dj money thing he has got a valid point (although he put it wrongly..).. im sure he sees the error in his ways.

the line-p just looks like a tranceairwaves night with tu face and dj money added in there

on a side note, i agree that there was no need for this poll to have been made.. lets keep it all in the other thread.

what planet are you on, kuffdam is an very well-known dj,

he has remixed countless other A-list dj tracks,

and is a really nice chap to talk to,

kuffdam is well-known even in the german club scene, it's great he still finds the time to post on ta,
and if he wants to play for free thumbs up,

i can't believe o'bir won't do a free one off,

just my 2 cents

Hilarious stuff, especially when Old Neo starts throwing his toys out of the pram.

I'm not too bad chief and yourself? I've been lurking around having the occasional look pretty normal in the UK forum but quiet.

What the hell has happened to the rest of the site? There is too many attention seekers around. I'm Disappointed in you mod's can I suggest you all bring a brand of sharia law to the forum.

regardless of the date , what a shower of internet hardmen that visit this forum and post stuff behind stupid usernames, kuffdam has now proved nearly everyone who dissed him in this thread that he clearly is a "big name" with the gigs he has had and the productions he has out
