Smart guy to only cork 1. If he does get busted like he did he just says what he did about using it for impressing the fans or whatever.

Yea really, the only time he would ever need a second corked bat is if the first one breaks ... in which case it would be in his best interests to not have a second corked bat.

This isnt true because they usually dont use there bats for more than a few days, and a bat can crack without totally breaking, at which point they'd need to replace it.

What he means is that you would only have one corked bat because having more than one means that the corked would have to break. if it broke it would be inspected and you are fucked. so there is no reason to have more than one corked bat in the first place.
