After further reading of the 'rules' for this compo, I have just realized that I cannot enter . I don't have any 'real-time' mixing software, nor the $$$ to get any.

I have and use MixMeister but IMO that doesn't fall into the 'real-time mixing' category.

So I will bow out before anyone enters any mixes [Cartman voice]Weeeeeak[/Cartman voice]. Unless you guys are ok with Mixmeister?

Use traktor I don't think that everybody here did pay for it

mr sick just a suggestion, what if we changed the deadlines a bit, so the competition could go on a bit faster. im sure we will get 2 more contestants in a couple of days, and im sure everyone doesnt need a month to do their mix.... just a suggestion though, cause i thought the last competition took a bit too long

can i still join?

Heh, I suppose I could do a little digging for that software, but then I'd have A) find it, in a version that will allow me to export/save etc, and B) to learn it and be able to produce a mix in about a month. Kinda hard to do with my time (scheduling kinda sucks with all this WORK! ).

So mr_sick, I think it would be best if I left the spot for someone else. It's a damn shame too, because I've already done my mix and I'd like to hear opinions of people who actually listen to trance and those who actually DJ. I mean, there's not a single person I know who listens to GOA. In fact I don't think anyone I know even knows how to spell T-R-A-N-C-E let alone listens to it .

So what happens when the contestant's impression of what is trance conflicts with that of one of the judges.

I'm not planning on entering but i know that many of my trance sets see many tech and breaks trakcs creeping in.

Judges, define trance please.

I accepted 22 competitors, now it is full.

I will give you uploading infos this w-e, 'cause I'm really busy.

We have 22 this time, but I'm not sure everyone will finish on time...last competition almost 20 entered but only 9-10 uploaded stuff

the last competition have 22 competitors with only 13 mix uploaded... i dont think all the competitors will upload these mix

Wow! 22 competitors. The largest number so far in MP3 DJ MIX COMPETITION
and also the largest number of judges, even if it is only 4/5. It would be
nice if rbb would have joined again, he is a great judge.
I think it's gonna be a realy nice high level competition.
My mix is done mr_sick. Where should i upload it?
I hope every one will upload. If so, the judges will have some work to do.

I got a little suggestion:

Could every judge post a short note about every mix he judged ?

Some feedback would be much nicer than just pure marks.

now that's a good idea

ya like what rbb did last competition, he posted a note for every single track on the mix, it was really good. if the judges could do something similar it would be nice.
