i think religion is one big contradiction

i believe in god with out a dought, but church to me is just pointless, what do the people who goto church get out of it?

I'm not being insensitive but it is my personal opinion that religions do little else other than cause conflict.

i believe and i go to church when ever i can. the only part that pisses me off is that when a big event happens people hit the church up with attendence for a month then falter after that.

one of Jesus' tenets was for christians to congregate with one another. Church is the most convenient. Its supposed to be a community thing but people always just go in, sit down, stand up, leave. I do mission stuff and bible studies they are a lot more fun.

bad interpretation of religion is the source of many evil thing on erth, like the war in Israel adn the Talibans etc, etc... Thats why I dont like it...

I am a believer...and not because of the stuff that they preached to me during my childhood when I was forced to go to church by my mother.

I have been to church just a few times in the past 5 years. I was finally old enough to sit and actually take in what was being said and see how it affected all of the people sitting in the church and how it affected me. I don't agree with what is being said. I actually thought that some of it was complete bullshit. I don't believe that going to church drives most people to be the aspiring pure entity that they go to church to be. I have met countless Christians who don't practice what they preach and supposedly stand for.

I do like the idea of community and good will that it creates though. There can't be anything possible wrong with that in this day and age.

But I don't believe that God exists because of what a minister told me or what I read in a Bible.

I believe in God because I feel him in my life.

Most of the worlds problems come from people's insecurities.

Religion Divides

I believe religion divides, however, that shouldn't keep most of you from attending a church whose beliefs are similar to yours. The question is are you in search of truth or do you base your beliefs on what you want to do in life? If you are in search of truth then you will most likely look into specific beliefs, otherwise religions will seem pretty much all the same and pointless. For those of us who do look for truths that connect all peoples and religions under a higher power there are guides such as the Bible (GZA- "Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth). Even if all is not accepted from it, the Bible is full of quality philosophies which can serve to better the world if applied correctly. I hope those of you who feel something is missing in your life do not get sidetracked by people who base their beliefs on what supports their actions rather than on their search for truth. My life feels empty when I don't attend a church and have a belief to guide my decisions, I hope that others can experience my fulfillment by attending a church.

War in israel is not really about religion.The only reason for that war is the benefit to other countries who WANT this war.They may stop the war in 1 min but its necessary to sell their weapons to israel.Palestinians have no money ....they have only automatic machine guns but israel have tanks helicopters war aircrafts.So it is not fairy.They may and should stop this war.

Now see what i dont get is why is christianity the main subject there are other religions ie. Islam and Buddist i do think that there is a higher force than myself just dont know what it is right now. My thoughts are there most be something or someone I meen come on how did we all get here? I meen come on the "Big Bang" theory just dosnt add up how could a human being have life by shit blowing up . I also think that there is a purpose for everyone on this world and that if someone dies that they have suvered they're purpose for they're life and that they need to move on and that is why people die so young. I dont know ill shut up now but that was my 2 cents

my opinion on religion is rude, but i will say it anyways. I think that it is just an excuse the church has to make money, and to stay in business - that mostly goes for catholics. I don't hate religion as much as i hate the church, but i think both are bullshit.

a man think up some nice ideas,
ppl like his ideas,
in time, those ideas all get "wraped" by a name,
and it becomes a religion.

now the man cant add or change anything in his ideas,
because they are "holy"....

my point is that religion is the killer of all good ideas.

Religion sucks. There's not one that's right. Although I do believe in a higher being, I don't think that there's any certain religion that anyone's supposed to be following. Silly worshipping has descended through the ages...with so many corrupted "pure" religion-ist's covering the world now. I bet it sucks to be wrong...and I have a feeling that no one is right
