she forgot to flash malek , he would have jizzed in his pants wahahahaha

Posted by malek on Jun-23-2003 11:35:

nah she has an ugly face

Posted by alec on Jun-23-2003 12:56:

one slightly disapointing note about the night (although myself personally I didn't mind) was the lack of people there for Ferry Corsten.
However the people that were there were hardcore, Autumn tactics, sweetest dreams and carte blanche managed to make all these people go nuts!

Posted by RnakR on Jun-23-2003 13:29:

YO!!!!!!!

Finalement j'ai seulement manqu la premire demi-heure de ferry !
i woke up @ 4am and didnt have any difficulty to get out of my bed !

I think that was the perfect amount of people...

It was again a great night with ferry no doubt about it...

is he playing autumn tactics everywhere or just in montreal

ferry played techno and i found 2 suspects : 2 guys where in the booth (one was tall and with glasses) and i think they are the one involved in this )

i can add i think

system f- spaceman
sweetest dreams

not a lot of trance for the rest of the summer ...next rendez-vous:
Chris liebing !

the lack of smoke gave an impression of emptyness, imo there was the same amount of people as last time he came.

I have nothing to complain about the amount of people... I think it was just perfect like this... We had room to dance !
It should always be like this...

Posted by alec on Jun-23-2003 15:41:

I agree Charlie

Oh and when he dropped Benny B - Satisfaction, I just about died, I've been waiting months to hear that sick tune in the club! such a sick tune!

Posted by USMC_Greg on Jun-23-2003 17:21:

Wanna know what's funny? Alot of us don't buy beverages out of spite for the "bartender". He keeps demanding tips and bullshit like that.

There should be some sort of rule against tipping same sex tenders... not to mention the fact that THERE IS NO ALCOHOL IN THE PLACE.

The only time I buy a drink is when the tender takes a break and he has a security guard filling in for a few minutes. Normally I'm to lazy to go all the way to the washroom to fill up my bottle with water, but I make it my duty to not give that guy any business.

Posted by ACA2000 on Jun-23-2003 17:34:

which guy are you talking about?
it can't be the guy behind the dj booth, he's a super nice guy!!

Posted by alec on Jun-23-2003 17:37:

That's the guy he's referring to. He did make some bastardly comments last time on June 13th to some of the guys! Not me however, I don't mind him, he lets me store vinyl there every now and then

Posted by ACA2000 on Jun-23-2003 17:39:

well i mean the guy is doing his job mostly for tips like any bartender does, and he's gotta stand back there for a lot longer than a normal bartender would so i don't mind tipping him the extra dollar off of my $4 bottle of water. if i was a bartender i'd probably get upset too but i don't agree with him making comments...

Posted by Dj Nacht on Jun-23-2003 18:28:

I usually allways give him the dollar cause he deserves it for working behind there for so long. Ive never seen him angry at anyone before so I don't really know much about that.

Posted by alec on Jun-23-2003 18:34:

Think of this, even if he sells only one drink every 5 minutes, which is probably underestimating 12$ an hour, for doing dick all, reach behind grab something, and that's on top of what aria pays him. I have a feeling he sells much more than one drink every 5 min. Anyways whatever, I usually give him the extra 1$, I don't think he deserves it, as he's not really doing much, but he does favors such as keeping vinyl for me every now and then and that's much more valuable.

Posted by ACA2000 on Jun-23-2003 18:39:

ya but you also have to think of the amount of hours per weekend he has to stand behind that bar, it's gotta get pretty tiring!!
and also some of the people he has to put up with working at an after hours club!!

Posted by alec on Jun-23-2003 18:41:

It's a job, not unlike others, can get boring, but at least he gets to listen to music while doing it, I feel much worse for the 7$/hr. McDonalds employees who do far more, get paid far less and are probably much more bored!

Posted by ACA2000 on Jun-23-2003 18:44:

oh ya for sure, i'm not disagreeing with you, he probably makes awesome money!! just like most servers do but that's the way the business works. i still have some respect for this guy though because he's been working there every time i've been there since i started going to aria almost 2 years ago!!
to stand behind that bar 2 nights every weekend for like 12 hours takes some power!!

Posted by malek on Jun-23-2003 18:47:

you go out, you order drinks, any drinks, even a glass of water, tips are a must. Where do you come from man

Dominic (his name) is an awesome guy, and if he asked for his tip, its because he got burned by guys like you not giving him what he deserves, his pay!

Posted by kate on Jun-23-2003 18:51:

I just remembered which song got me up and onto the dancefloor:
Plastic Boy - Live Another Life

weeeee

Posted by ACA2000 on Jun-23-2003 18:54:

i agree with malek!! he is an awesome guy!! from what i see he goes out of his way to do his job and give the people that go there a better experience by being pleasant with people, and he doesn't really have to be.

Posted by alec on Jun-23-2003 19:15:

Ok this is ridiculous, I already stated that I do tip the guy (Malek!), this isn't the question at issue, some of the guys did get kinda rude comments from him, and that's not cool. I personally haven't seen this so really I'm not arguing or defending either side!

Posted by ACA2000 on Jun-23-2003 19:19:

ya i'm not trying to make this into an argument, i'm just stating my experiences with this guy that's all...

Posted by sohaness on Jun-23-2003 19:34:

imo if a bartender said to me 'where's my tip' or something along those lines, i would be pretty pissed. tipping is not a given, its a little something extra for good service.

i think tipping has become so common place now that people think its a given...no way jose! and i dont care if he makes 5 bucks an hour or whatever, its not my job to wipe his ass.

steve.

Posted by malek on Jun-23-2003 19:47:

alec my comment wasn't directed at you.

Posted by alec on Jun-23-2003 20:22:

cool

Ferry also played this :
Delerium - After all (Jaron Inc. Remix)
I'm not sure about the remix, its the one that sounds like japanese vocals

This is my point. I usually tip, and I did tip the security guard filling in for him. But if I have $20 bills in my wallet and a couple of toonies, why would I break a $20 for some dood that's serving me gatorade? If I went back for a drink and had to break a bill I would tip him. But he demanded a tip, so fuck him.
