ok, just to clarify for you, go back and read his posts. First, he mentions a track that is on the flip of people Want to be needed and it was something like "Go Go Go." Then someone says "it was probably Yo Yo." To that, Burns agreed. So, he DID in fact say that he had YoYo on the flip......thanks for playing though

Also, that wasn't my main point. My main point was that he typifies certain vinyl buyers to me. I have noticed there is a trend in certain people who have rare gems such as the People Want to be Needed 12". They will hold onto the thing and not even be familiar with the tracks they have on it, but will WILLINGLY sell it to someone else simply b/c they know they can get top dollar for it. It just doesn't make sense to me, and is downright snobbish if you ask me. it's like someone buying a Ferrari without having respect for what that car is capable of, and then selling it just b/c you know people will pay top $ for it. Call me jaded or whatever, but that was my main point. If you follow my logic, then what I'm saying is that someone who is not even familiar with the tracks on a vinyl like that shouldn't have it to begin with. Now, on the flipside of that, if they ARE familiar with the tracks and this is some prized vinyl, THEN I can see him selling it for big bucks, but only in a case of like, say, he needed some $ to pay rent or some shit. Other than that, I can't see a TRUE fan of this song selling this vinyl AT ALL. And if it is the case that at one point he WAS a fan of it but has grown tired of it, don't rape the person you're selling it to just b/c you don't want it anymore. I don't know, it just doesn't make sense to me

jeez.

its also called 'good business sense' not necessarily snobbishness. just because someone collects vinyls and decides to sell one doesnt make them the asshole. it sounds like you want some idealistic vinyl collecting world where people do things for only the 'right' reasons and dont rip people off.

or it sounds like you want an LP with People Want and Yo Yo onnit|

I heard Oakie payed a thousand pounds for a copy of "System F - Out of the Blue" once. I think it's just a rumor though.
