-- Why are people obsessed with DuMonde?
Pages (4): « 1 [2] 3 4 »
Listen to their music in a club and you'll see why. Their latest remix: Dave 202 & Phil Green- Moments of Silence (DuMonde Remix) is pretty good.
Yes, they did have a dry period...God Music, Can U Dig It?, etc. but I think they're coming back. Human is pretty good and I hear that Atmosphere is excellent. Seriously, don't judge them until you've either heard them live or heard their good material in a club.
dumonde was great in the later 99 to 01. but after that they went down hill and sounded the same and boring just like cosmic gate.
Dumonde's work has always been quality besides some of his recent works like can u dig it god music mind made up and they are definetly coming back with a bang with symsonic...atmossphere is mint tune along with the dave green song remix
The stuff you mentioned like can you dig it, god music is all there new productions
have you heard there old shit?? unreal
thats why everyone is obsessed with dumonde!
listen to dumonde- live from rpr maximal 01/2002

| From what I've heard by Dumonde, I see absolutely no reason why they should be thought of as super-talented producers, and I don't really understand why people regard them so highly. |

all the other dumonde tracks are shit
they're not bad, i like em, sorry my opinion isn't exactly the same as urs...
Don't make a biased judgement based on some of their latest releases, as stated before check out some of their ealier productions and remixes and then you'll see why a lot of us like them.

I actually didn't think God Music was anything to rave about when it came out, In retrospect it is a fairly good song, just not something that really stuck out at the time for me.
hi-gate - saxuality [dumonde long mix]
'nuff said.

Let's take a track like "God Music" or "Can U Dig it." What's so special about it? These tracks are exactly average. They are lackluster. Take their track "Mind's Made Up." What's so special about it? There is no good melody, nothing memorable or outstanding, just the vocal that's repeated over and over. My point is if you like hard trance, there many better and more talented artists out there. And if you like softer trance, the situation is the same: more artists who are better. Anyone care to explain? |

they have had their hits and misses thats for sure, but right now I can't get their remix of Moments of Silence out of my head
That and the Cosmic Gate remix of God Music are the only two Dumonde tracks that I really enjoy....

I'll have to agree with the majority in this thread - Dumonde's latest productions isn't comparable to their past work during 99-01. Their remix of Lange's Memory is still one of the most energic tunes I've come across and their sound really was (or is?) original when it first came out, full of energy indeed.
I wouldnt say I am obssessed but you cant argue with Tintinout - T.W.M (Dumonde Remix)
NEVER LOOK BACK
MEMORY
TOMORROW
If you think these are shit then you must be fucked, tomorrow will always be dumonde's best track and was one of first tracks hooked me into trance and DUMONDE.
I've already written it a few hundred times:
Jrgen and Dominik have done Mind Made Up and Can U Dig It as JamX & DeLeon for a more commercial audience. Those productions are not really my favorites at all.
On the other hand, there are their earlier productions and remixes like
- Never Look Back
- Memory (vs. Lange)
- Tomorrow...
- Angelic - Can't Keep Me Silent
- M.U.T.E. - Missed Beat
- Ayumi Hamasaki - Trauma...
For me, these songs are Alltime-Favorites and great productions.
Unfortunately their latest productions (Human, God Music) have become weaker and weaker...Let's wait and see!

personally i think Dumonde is extremely talented, all their tracks and remixes are top notch and Binary Finary - 2000 (DJ JamX & DuMonde's Millenium Remix)is one the best tracks of all time
as cheezy as it is, i thought Memory was a great track.
I hope you have diff levels of cheese, coz to bung Memory in with Dj Sammy stylee is sacrilidge! Memory is last track from Dumonde that I liked, and one of my favs from 2001
