seriously. tiesto can't mix for shit.

yes, better than me, cuz god knows i suck, but for being the "#1 dj" he should be a hell of a lot better.

22 is Ralphie B vs Airwave - Massive Rise
I have the bootleg mix i got of off Ralphie B's website, but this mix is a little different. I'm sure its the same track though.

You can get the bootleg mix here:

i have to say that these were the best two hours of my life!!!
his set was just wicked!!! it was awesome!!!!

song after song he just blew off the crowd!!!!!! there wasnt one song that i got bored, it was just amazing

i hope it was recorded somewhere!!

i have never been a big fan of tiesto, but this was just too much!!!

the first 15 minutes of the set, he already surpassed my high expectations of trance music, and after that there was like 5 songs that i got really crazy!!!

amazing! now i know why he wins all the awards!

I hope he played better there than at space. His mixing was very poor on the space broadcast. Markus made tiesto look like the opening act.

i died so fuckin hard !!!!!!

Posted by Divine9 on Jul-05-2003 11:54:

Jebus, tiesto sucked major ass. I listened to the last ~1hr 20min via the stream. Cheesy tracks and no flawless mixing. And who was this party 'asshole' buster. He's annoying

I didn't hear Markus, but as i read he was the best.. so have to find his set.

Posted by Adonai on Jul-05-2003 12:53:

The tracklist of Markus Schulz looks good to me so i'm gonna look for a download.

And the only track of Tiesto's liveset i want to hear is :
Andain - Beautiful Things (Magik Muzik Remix) the rest doesn't bother me much

LOL I see buster strikes again. He's the radio DJ for 93.1 and seriously worships Tiesto. When Tiesto played at space back in October of last year Buster was swooning about Tiesto during Noel Sanger's set.

Posted by XLT on Jul-05-2003 17:59:

Well here is my perspective on what happened last night...
Markus was simply amazing. In my book he is America's Best DJ.
As for Tiesto, he seemed out of it. Like he was either drunk, high, his dog died or something. It was a wierd night, I've never seen him so out of it. His mixing was too rough at times. The tracks he played were great, a lot of different tunes that I haven't heard him play before. Beautiful Things (Magik Muzik)!! I died!
Overall it was a pretty strange night at Space34.

Posted by LiquidX on Jul-05-2003 18:19:

After what Ive heard, mixed reviews, but on one thing we all seemed to agree is that.. the Party from which Tiesto came from, ( the 4th of July Blast from party 93.1 free event ) he played an absolutly friciking great 2 hours set! He killed me so hard, the last hour I jsut couldnt, the people had all the friking energy, it was mad crazy!!!!

Posted by RaVeRSurGe on Jul-05-2003 18:55:

about tiesto

well i talked to some people who were there with him.. and i heard he wuz realli tired and out of it... kinda drunk some people said... i dont blame him... he played earlier in the day at some other party... hes still one of the best... just didnt have the energy to deliver last night thats all... so instead he experimented a bit... ^_^

Posted by drpeer_holland on Jul-05-2003 18:59:

Is the tiesto set allready on the hub?

oh man, his mixing was PERFECT!!! and i was listening for the mixing but his mixing was just seamless!! of course he had come little errors but he fixed them very quickly

i heard him on the radio and his mix was not that good, i didnt hear it all but from i heard it was good but no comparison with the party before!!! maybe he was tired....or he didnt want to repeat his set again, because he knew that all the people that heard him on the park, will hear him again in 2 hours so maybe because of that his set was not that good. he used his best songs on the first party...

he didnt play southern sun, thats new!

Wow...what a night folks, I am not sure what it sounded like on the radio...but here is what it was like at Space 34. Tiesto was such a nice guy. He hung out with Markus for the last 30 minutes of Markus's set, enjoying himself and just meeting people. The booth was pretty crazy. Tiesto had told me he just flew in from Ibiza that day (I think that is waht he said.....it was SO LOUD I could hardy hear). He had just played a 2 hour set outdoors on a humid night, and from what Markus told me, when he was on stage, with all of the lights...it was too hot! So I can imagine poor Tiesto, how hot he must have been at the 93.1 concert. Anyways...back to Space.....Tiesto went on and played prog trance for the first 45 minutes and the crowd was enjoying himself as Tiesto built the energy up. He then started bangin it out as the crowd went wild. about 2 hours or so into his set, Tiesto started talking to the guys that travel with him. It was very obvious what was going on, Tiesto was EXHAUSTED, he had given the people of Miami his all, and had finally hit the wall. Tiesto asked Markus if he would play after him, and after conversations around the booth, everyone agreed Markus went back on. Tiesto is a true professional, and I have alot of respect for him. I couldnt imagine the day he must have had with all the travel and hot outdoors. Oh and by the way....way to go Markus! What a set...next stop.....Armin Van Buuren and Markus Schulz @ Opium Gardens!!!

Posted by bobba lou on Jul-05-2003 19:25:

cool update.GlobalGirl looking foward to hearing Mr Schulz live. I was At Peacock park It was okay. Good tunes not to impressed by the crowd though. It was like romper room there, but hopefully Opium will be worlds better. I did'nt make it to space for I have a wedding to go to in 1 hour wanted to get a good scoop from last night, and you came through. See you all late sunday at global chat....

Posted by globalgirl on Jul-05-2003 19:29:

BTW:

The remix of Andain- Beautiful things Tiesto played was not Magic Muzic remix......It was "G&D Original Demo mix".

Markus made Tiesto look like an amateur during the Space34 broadcast. There must've been something obvious wrong with Tijs, as some of the records he chose were completely out of place, or just awful (The Mark Lowndes was just horrid).

You should be proud of Markus, that was a great set. I hope he gets out around the states and performs more, in my mind he is the top DJ in the United States now.

I think that if you would've been to the party before, you would understand why he probably played those tracks. In the party I went, he played awesome ttracks and mixed great, I was kind of worried about what he would play @ Space afterwards, since everyone from the park would be going there ( the afterparty ) so it dont surprise me by the tracks he chose, so its obvious that if tiesto didnt do the party before, he would've rocked the club just as hard as he did at the party before, in which, he was awesome!

Hehe. Well, that explains it then. Yeah I'd be tired too.
When you're there you enjoy the tracks, and don't notice the mixing as much.
