WE MUST SUPPORT OUR FELLOW TA's LIKE STEVE OHANESSIAN AND OTHERS

REASON: VOTING IS FLAWED...
Anyone can go on and give all the other artists 0's to lower their scores. We must try to counteract this by voting EN MASSE to support our own

The online voting round is not a matter of whose mix is better, but who beats the system. Note how low many of the scores are. Please do what you can to help out our own.

pure popularity contest no doubt ..

tru say , gotta fight fire with fire.. ppl support sohaness! quality stuff nonetheless!

Posted by sohaness on Jul-15-2003 15:00:

thanks for the kind words guys...i appreciate it!

the voting is totally fucked...and damn those djs that have more than one mix...whats up with that?

steve.

Posted by PseudoCoder on Jul-15-2003 19:20:

Yeah I know

Support your local TA's!!!!

ah hemmmm DJ Sauce

Posted by infinity HiGH on Jul-16-2003 10:56:

Cool! Heineken is hosting a party here in Poland too; cept we're getting a better line up here (teehee!!). Over here they're bringing Layo & Bushwacka, Kosheen and Cassius. I might go for it, since it's a lot cheaper than Creamfields PL; but not as good of a line up...

Posted by mecha on Jul-16-2003 14:37:

Me and Armada are also entered the competition
under ARMEK team

here are the tracklisting for our mix:
01. Paris & Healey - Ripped [Plastic Fantastic]
02. Baggy Bukaddor - V.I.P. [White]
03. Troia vs. Morrison - When The Musics Over [White]
04. Unknown - Rob My Back [White]
05. Eric Prydz - Slammin' [Credence Records]
06. John "DNR" Alvarez - Before The Storm (DNR's Mix) [Deep Vision Records]

Posted by MattVagrant on Jul-16-2003 23:28:

Hey Here's my tracklist too.

1. Steiger--PostcardsFromTheEdge(Edgeland)--Bedrock
+ MeatKatie&DarkGlobe--FeelIt--BedrockBreaks
2. D.Diggler--ABitOfHistory--PlanetVision
+ SubwayBaby--TribesOfKhanGala(accapella)--SAW
+ SubwayBaby--TribesOfKhanGala(accapella)--SAW
3. ChrisMicali--Chant--Blueprint
+ Medway&Cusick--Neutrix--SAW
4. Branaccio&Aisher--Darker(Sin@DogstarMix)
+ LexiconAvenue--WhyRUHere?(accapella)--SAW

The mix will likely be up in a day or two. I went solo this time (look for 'Matt Vagrant'). In any case, due to how fucked and unfair the judging is, I say we TA's do up some sort of 'block voting' thing. 10's for all TA's so that we can counteract all these people giving 0's to everyone else just to bring their score down. Talk about a stupid judging strategy...

Let's beat it guys

So... 10's for Steve Ohanessian, ARMEK, djSauce, who else? There are a few others here... What names did you submit your mixes under?

Posted by LKD on Jul-16-2003 23:42:

all TAs i gave a 10...cos i cant show no favouritism

also to the list of TAs that uploaded (pretty late however) is DJ Eso...

many of u might remember his talent from teh legendary Entrance Parties and the Turbulence party.

Eso has been known to many of us TAs as teh Wesside DJ (even tho hes in north york) cos of ihs residency in certain west end clubs/lounges..

anyone who goes to vote, vote 10 for all TAs...let all the finalists be TAs and then let oakenfold judge them

hmmm .. i wonder if any of the voting for this thing is not "block voted". i mean if ur an established TO resident DJ, chances are you'll know enuff industry ppl and hav enuff of a fan base connection to procure a lot of block votes in ur favour..

i remember a competition like this once sponsored by another big promoter where the winning DJ was again an established Toronto resident. they might as well just make the contest exclusive to resident club DJ's, in which case Mark Oliver would win ..

well there ya go .. he prolly knows Shelly, one of the marketing promoters for Guv who's prolly doin him a favour and using her leverage to acquire votes thru the Guvernment mailing list ..

i think most of the DJ's already go into this competition with the pre-conceived belief that the competition isn't going to be fair..

Posted by sohaness on Jul-17-2003 01:41:

the voting is so messed up...as a matter of fact i cant even vote! i log in and then when i go to teh listen and vote page i get logged out!

anyway, if i can figure out a way to vote, then i will also give 10's to all the TA's. the voting is def. not fair but i guess the ppl with no skill that vote others 0's and get their friends to vote them 10 will be embarrassed in front of hundreds when they are spinning in the clubs.

good luck to all the TA's that entered!

steve.

After you login and get to the voting page, just refresh that page (F5) and it should show you as logged in (damn them and their cookies, it took me 10 mins to figure this one out).

And when you do, vote for my boy too --> irGO... as a matter of fact, I want each and every one of you to vote for this guy. I believe he's been invited by Jelo to globalgroove 100.7fm this Sunday for a gig, so show some support fellas!

Yeah, short of registering 100 fake email addresses that you've spent all day creating on hotmail, I can think of little in the way of a means to affect this... Hmmm... Now, if we all got 100 fake email addresses registered, perhaps from a public computer, or a computer that you did not register with yourself (not sure if IP addresses can be traced), then we'd be able to overturn this bullshit.

Posted by MattVagrant on Jul-17-2003 10:18:

Does anyone know when the voting closes?
