Chiclet dropped a great set on last nights show however we've been experiencing more than our fair share of technical difficulties.
The show started off with only one channel working for each of the turntables that was solved quite fast. However CHIN was also experiencing a problem with their sound processor causing the audio to break up on top of that the main compressor went dead on us earlier in the night. So the volume was all over the place.
It was nice to hear a lot of people from Trance Addict call up and say whats up, it's always good to hear from you guys and gals

I promise I will have Chiclet back again to spin a proper set when everything is sorted out till then though this is the archived set if you want to listen to it.

Ok guys I was just informed that I can do a special Monday night Paradox since the Blackout on Thursday night knocked us off the air in Toronto.

If you're up tonight between 3am - 5am tune in to 100.7FM or on the net at GlobalGroovenetoworks.com. Since this is such short notice for me I'll probablly just play a recorded paradox set.

Don't forget to tune in Thursday night August 21st. DJ dB will be in the studio to spin live for you.

Cheers all

Paul,
Just want to tell you that I think your show is the shit and it should be on more often. It's a pain to wait till late Thursday nights just to hear some good music on the radio. I think we should all contact CHIN and ask them to put Paul on every night what does everyone think?

P.S. This Blackout Session show is really worth downloading the tracks flow together so great it just makes you want to get up and dance.

Posted by paul d engineer on Aug-21-2003 08:57:

Thanks for the kind words Piper,
I think once a week is enough for me there is other talented people who produce shows on GGN as well and they all deserve their 15 minutes of fame

The server was having some problems over the past few days so some of you might have not had a chance to download. It looks like the problem has now been fixed but if you experience problems just keep trying it will work eventually.

Posted by piper on Aug-21-2003 23:19:

why don't you start doing your old Friday night show on GrooveRince.com again? at least that way people who want to hear more of your music can do so. Just a sugestion

Posted by paul d engineer on Aug-22-2003 13:32:

Just like he promissed dB dropped a great hard set.
We started a new weekly segment on the show entitled "Tune Of The week" where the DJ will pick their favorite tune and tell us why they like it so much.
The Paradox classic was picked with the help of TOTA's own Rocco who wanted to hear something off of the Rober Miles Dreamland CD.
Last but not least, the foot and hand trick seems to be very popular with everyone. I received many e-mails already from people trying to make it work properly. hahaha.... Have fun!

What a way to say bye to summer time.
The show started off on a bit mello side but picked up nicelly and finally by 4:30 i was playing out the harder tunes.
The first hour of the show was actually my brand new CD which I recorded live on Wednesday night. Thats the same CD we gave away copies of during the show.
The show is always so much more fun when there is a lot of interactivity between the listeners and myself.

yea that show f****in owned!
Allen actually woke me up cuz his voice was different so i was kinda scared i was listn eer sleeping to the wrong thing... but then it was Paradox and yea..

i woke up again at base attack - nobody listens to techno...

one thing that pissed me off the most is the delay. i usually listen to my headset and just talk to through the telephone but didn't work this time... Now i know.

edit: oh yea... i couldn't sleep after the show.. honestly.. stayed up after 5 and played video games till i had to get ready for my day...

thnx Paul, u own... and yes: most great DJs start with Paul.
Paul Van Dyk, Paul Fuckenfold and Paul de Engineer.

A bit of a change on this week's show. Instead of the usual "Harder" beats we usually play on Paradox, this week DJ Miroslav came down to drop a nice Back To School Chill Out set to which a lot of you responded with thumbs up. Fact is I wanted to do a chill out show for a while now but never got around to it.
I'm very happy with the way the whole show turned out this week. I think it really is worth to download and keep it for a nice evening of (home)work in front of a computer.
