JUST ENJOY THE MUSIC

Well said.

Mainstream, sell out and chesse. Three words that should be banned on this site.

Almost seems like people doesnt dare to talk about the possibility
of an artist that they like, going mainstream. Perhaps because if you
dont even imagine it, its never ever going to happen?

Saying "JUST ENJOY THE MUSIC MAN!" instead of actually discussing is
pointless, then we can have that as an autoreply to every thread ever
made. What do you think of AVBs new single? JUST ENJOY THE MUSIC MAN.
Will BT ever learn to DJ properly? JUST ENJOY THE MUSIC MAN.

Hey, we dont even have to make threads, just make one big sticky with
the letters JUST ENJOY THE MUSIC MAN.

I dont even want to try and guess when NU-NRG will be gone from the
true music scene, mostly because I dont listen to them anymore but
also because its a matter of time and im having a hard time seeing
into the future theese days. I guess, as soon as they start making
some real $$$ and notice that the grass is indeed greener on the
other side.

I agree with you in some way...
They changed a lot since that legendary SYNTH021 italian promo - their harder underground tracks were imho better then what they do now. But if you compose mainstream it gets support by top level DJs etc...

JUST ENJOY THE MUSIC MAN

Posted by kr00t0n on Jul-18-2003 08:01:

Dunno if or when they will sell out, but they're alright for now.

And on the topic of the dangers of cheese:

haha!

So why IS everyone so against discussing this topic?
Sure maybe topics like this have been discussed before
but still ...why get upset and turn the other way?
I dont know exactly what style of trance you guys are all in to
but I have seen many awsome DJ's change for the worse over the years. And perhaps it has to do with "selling out" or perhaps its just the natural change that trance has undergone in the last few years. Im not really sure.
But I do have to question why I used to hear such amazing stuff come out of these DJs (like tiesto, PVD etc..)and now, not nearly as much.
So I figure either its that these guys dont have to work as hard producing the amazing stuff they used to because they are as high up as any DJ can go ...OR that they are evolving trance as we know it because , well things just evolve.
Personally, I have to assume its the former. And the only reason is because thats what happens to EVRYTHING in this world.
Sad but true.
So whether you admit it or not, and whether you choose to ignore discussions like this and respond only with little angry faces -->
it doesnt change reality.

i has an idea, listen to some trance, turn bass and volume up and enjoy the music , think not of the future but of the present and you'll be in an eternal wonderland

You are from Vancouver - what the hell do you guys know about trance?????

NUNRG is amazing and you are not

This is a music discussion and most people in this thread are too lazy to discuss anything, rather they just make sarcastic comments which do not add to the conversation.

13am you should change your name to 13 years old, cause you dont know the first thing about music or trance. - who cares if you have been djing in your bedroom for 6 months. youre a geek

Uh dude, if that post wasn't sarcasm, then do you not see the hypocrisy in your post? What comments did YOU make to aid in the discussion? All you did was prejudge some guy who lives in city X. ffs.

NU NRG would be OK if they didn't have some pussy weak bass kick in every one of their tracks. I'm not a big fan of them but damn improve that bassline and they'd be ALRIGHT I guess.

Posted by TuanAnh213 on Jul-18-2003 19:27:

nu-nrg every since releasing dreamland have gone down the gutter with their lame bass line and tacky synths, how can u release such a good song and all of a sudden become mediocre? they gotta get back to their dreamland style music...the only good songs IMO after dreamland are last experience, butterfly, and bonsai

Posted by Special_K on Jul-18-2003 19:46:

trancehead im sorry but you are a fucking idiot.

I mean you think that just because im from Vancouver I dont know shit about trance. that is THE most ignorant fucking thing i have ever heard.

Im sorry if i dont enjoy hands in the air euro-pop trance.

hhehe i love this thread... Nu-nrg isnt cheesy pop trance but it isnt the best out there either. butterfly and dreamland are two of my favorite songs but ill agree their style is too synth orientated. but please, continue you bickering. it makes a good read when im bored

Posted by goose_wh on Jul-18-2003 21:21:

everyones said it, but this question/thread is homo.

Posted by Special_K on Jul-18-2003 23:10:

oh jesus. Euro-pop trance is just what i call it.....its just sounds right for the fluffy hands in the air fluff trance. Its a great name and i will continue to use it.

But ya thanks for all that info on "Popular" music, i took notes.
