Right on man, you got it.
BT & JC Chasez are good friends

Posted by 13am on Jul-20-2003 22:25:

This is nothing new. Don't you guys know that BT was one of the producers of the song Pop by Nsync?

lol... Aquagen fan, I suggest you stop acting like you know what you're talking about and start reading threads other then the ones you start. Who knows, maybe you'll learn a thing or two.

There are better things out there besides Black & Jones.

Satan (eek!) hmmm

he hasnt sold out or anythin like that... but it NSync... its just I wont give him as much respect as I use to thats all... now i cant think of just electronic music when i think of BT... now icky popcolture clouds my judgement.. i'm sure other TAs can relate ^_^

why is djryanjonathon acting like he knows things...

give it up

Look if BT wants to producer pop albums then let the man do it. It's his career, brand him a sellout if you wish but then again...it's not YOUR CAREER>

this song is good, BT didn't do anything wrong with this. BT felt that his voice fits. If BT, didn't write JC chasez you guys probably would have thought the song was amazing.

you shouldnt be complaining about BT..after your OMG aquagen...horrible taste IMO

Posted by djSlain on Jul-21-2003 00:43:

it's getting way too common and ANNOYING to me for people who keep basing on LEGENDARY trance stars. "i never heard the tune, but it sucks." That's how those idiotic girls on MTV think.

girl 1: OMG, the new nsync song rules!
girl 2: Where'd u hear it????
girl 1: i downloaded the 3 second sample on their website! OMG, it's so good!
girl 2: Ya i like it too!
girl 1: i thought u didn't hear it yet

BT sold out a long time ago..... anyone remember The Fast and The Furious score...yeah just like jokenfold and Swordfish, but anyways who cares if an artists sells out as long as the music is still good and last time I checked BT sounds great.

So acording to you, artists producing movie tracks makes them a sell out?

again,

so what does that make john digweed now that he's working on the music for the new spider man tv series. after all his years of devotion to the music we love, are you going to call him a sellout too?

i mean honestly, just because an artist produces music for a more mainstream audience automatically puts him/her at the bottom of your list? can you become more of a music snob? because an artist stops producing solely for you and your elitist-stricken friends, he/she automatically gets a degrading label slapped on them? just like that?

sheesh. so quick to judge, and yet know so little.

what the heck is that supposed to mean? BT and Armin have always made great music. it doens't matter if they do side projects with different genres or make a soundtrack. They are still LEGENDS and great innovators of the music we love.

Yeah, seriously, he can end up selling shoes at Foot Locker and I'd still have respect for him.

Ummm, has anyone actually asked him to.
Please don't try to turn this into a "Who's a better producer argument BT or Armin", because you simply can't win.

Have you heard the song to begin with?? FULL SONG, not those damn samples 'which do no justice to the album what so ever.'

I for one am NOT a fan of Nsync BUT I do find it logical that BT would use JC Chasez to do the vocals for this track. As it all comes together, I couldn't pick anybody better who would fit for this song.

agree 100% this is actually one of my favorite tracks on the album and his voice is great!!!

so anyone who has had a mainstream song is a sell out? is that it. i remember sasha expander being on the radio here in the us, so he must have sold out. john digweed must have sold out for being in a movie and making a soundtrack. if they produce good music, i dont see the problem with it being in movies, in fact it is better for us. what do all you greedy people who say they sell out dont want new people to start listening to trance. lots of people on here complain about people calling trance (electronica) shit. and if it is in a movie and brings a bigger crowd, that should make you happier, as less people would be calling it shit. what i say is who cares who makes it, as long as you like it. personally i dont think any music is shit. it is all a matter of preference, that is why i hate when anyone calls any music shit. all forms of music is art, and a lot of poeple calling other music shit, probably cant produce anything. if you dont like it, no need to call it shit, just say you dont prefer or dont like that music. where do you think these wars start from, bad music, no. bad fans is what it is.

bt has owned us all

Props to ****** and provitex for being smart. I totally agree with you guys.

If people want to bitch and whine about ET, go do it on the GU boards. im sure there are a whole bunch of coc.. er, intelligent people who have come to the same 'logical' conclusion.

I remember an BT interview from a while back:
BT said he really respected radiohead and the smashing pumpkins because each new album was an evolution, not just a refinement of the style they used on the last. Here with ET youve got both Evolution and Refinement.
I'll admit that the album is more musically "accessible" than a lot of people expected, but i found it to be a happy medium between "something that will rock the shit out of all the current fans" and "something that will attract some new fans". I'll say the shit was certainly rocked out of me.
As far as the JC deal goes, he got virtually no money for producing the Nsync single. JC and BT each have something to offer the other. JC wanted to do something "fucking cool like hip-hop phenomenon" and BT thinks JC's voice is excellent (and it is). ive no doubt if JC was some homeless bum singing on a street corner, Brian still would have done FOG with him. Its not about NSYNC star power, its just the voice.

Trance(PL) -
BT has wanted to score films his whole life. His next film project is a very small budget film called monster. Hey you didn't bitch about him when he did music for Go, did you?

PS: algenis does your name rhyme with penis?

BT has been a idle of mine for quite some time. His music is what got me into the dance music scene. I believe as a artist he should be allowed to express him self freely and how ever he sees fit. I happened to love this entire album. I even find that force of gravity is one of my favorite tracks on the album next to paris. I guess to each his own. But please dont bash someone out of ignorance. And ill tell you what selling out is... Charging a huge fee to dj somewhere.. And then people having to pay 50 to go to a club thats damn silly. Or lets not forget all the other artist whose concerts sell out with tickets at 100$s each.. I mean is a 1000 dollar ticket realy needed?
