I went to Leland High School until I graduated from there 2 years ago. I used to work @ the Starbucks @ Main Street Plaza next to the In N Out on Blossom Hill and Santa Teresa

Careful though, some clubs won't even let you in if you show an I.D. from another state. especially from some odd state because that's a sure sign.

by the way... anyone know anybody who can hook me up with a fake I.D. in socal? if so, PM me! im 18 and it sucks because all the best DJ shows are 21+!!!

Dave Lewis says:
Next to being a TRANCE ADDICT ARMIN is also a SUSHI ADDICT, but I do not think he will have time to have dinner.

also he said that he doesnt have the exact flight times and stuff so it would be hard to plan and we should contact him when he does to get the exact timing down correctly but we can plan for a place to eat first off

btw i like sushi too :P

How did all this get arranged? I'm sure he'll be spinning in So Cal around the same time. Point being that it would be tight if he could do the same for L.A.

mmmm, Sushi, my favorite as well. Expensive addiction too.lol!

Found this place near SFO, if he is flying into SFO that is:

Tenka Japanese Restaurant
246 South B Street
San Mateo, CA (650)579-7107

They have banquet room, full sushi bar(w/fresh fish daily) was highly recommended place near SFO. Cheers...

I SERIOUSLY doubt he would want to go from SFO straight to the dinner. It's been said a bunch - we should find a place somewhere in the area of the club. Besides, I have no car (don't need one here)

BTW, I have no issues with a Sushi place...but Sushi sucks. GROOOSSSS Thank goodness for Tariyaki boxes :P So I'd be screwed on getting there.

I used to live a block from Kitaro (which is on Geary) .... it is known as the best Sushi plays in California and one of the top in the US (I think it always either wins the award or comes behind some Sushi place in NY).....and I didn't like the Sushi there, either.

Sorry, I just don't like Sushi (note, I am fine with a Sushi place...I will just get some type of Teriyaki).

Getting reservations for a Sushi joint on the weekend is nearly impossible in this city as Sushi places are always jammed (eg. Kitaro can have a 3-4 hour wait on the weekends)....if any sushi place could hold 20+ people on the weekend with reservations, it would be the huge restaraunt in the Japan-town mall. I forget the name....but I will get it from someone and ask about their reservation policy.

Hey Photo_Bot, don't want to you have to nag them.....but since they are confirmed for 1015, do you know if they at least know which promotions group they are going through? (Like Spundae, Release, etc)...

Spundae and Release are by far the two biggest ones here, so it's probably going through one of them. And it turns out there's a nice sushi place right on Folsom called Sushi Groove, and it's owned by Martel, who runs Release. So if Armin is doing Release here, it could be a good opportunity to hit up Martel and maybe he could help us set something up at his Sushi Groove place.

If Armin plays Release, he would be playing on a Saturday night. Spundae's Sonic Fridays at 1015 take place...well, Friday night. Hehe. :P

BTW, tell them that if we get Sushi he has to eat! There's no finer Sushi in the world outside of Japan than there is in SF.

Dave

How about Slanted Door down along the embarcadero. They have a private room that will easily fit everyone and they have great vietnamese food not exactly Sushi but its still some of the best vietnamese food in the US and has been repeatadly recognized as so.

There is also Ozyumo which is new and has very highend Sushi it is along the embarcadero as well and has a couple of private rooms.

If anyone knows where to get a fake ID plz let me know. I'm almost 17 and I i'm constantly infuriated by the fact that age plays suck a large role in what you can and cannot do. Why couldn't they just have a section where you can't drink but just listen to the music. PM me with the info for the id.

Hey Photo_Bot...when we find out a date and the plans....I was wondering....

Could you ask Armin's manager if he is willing to do an interview with a couple of us, ON CAMERA (if he'd do it w/o a camera, that'd be fine) when he attends the dinner...he is going to a lot of these TA dinners, and I think it'd be cool for him to do an interview where we can talk about stuff...general shit, but it'd be oober cool since he'd do it for us TAers.

I can bring the camera stuff (I work in video feature editing, so I could take some of older model to record the interview on, no problem. Like Canon XL1s and some cheap lighting *if necessary*) if he's willing to go on camera.

We could then get a nice list of questions from folks here on the TA boards and make a nice little interview. Of course as you've taken the initiative to setup this dinner, you could take part in the sit-down session with him (along with me, of course ) if he's down with it.

yeah sure ill ask
but i dont wanna spam dave with emails
cuase you know every noob this side of the missisippi emailed him to get a TA dinner with him in their one horse town in the middle of kansas
it would be rude to flood him with even MORE emails

lol
