Evidence suggests that these relationships were more stable than modern relationships between people of similar age. It follows that age difference alone does not doom a relationship. |

it all depends on the situation...if both are adults, then ppl. usually dont give (as much of) a fuck...like if the woman is 30 and the guy is 40, ppl. will usually be alot easier on them than if the guy is 25 and the girl 15
guess its the whole "women crave confidence, security " blah blah blah thing
when all else fails, don't underestimate Miss Palmer and her five sisters...
I really don't get it,
My mum has told me men never mature...so why do women go for men that are mature
Hehehe
Girls are just as immature. The girls who go out with lads older, where i live, well they're usually boy races, live on benifit or a dead end job and are nobs. They believe they're getting security, pff!! whatever. Girls just want to grow up quicker than what they should do, becuase society throws at them images of pop stars wearing sexy clothes and talking about their sex lives, girls get this idea in their head that they must do the same, then they dress sexier, look older, and bang, you got the problem! If you want an example of this, just go to a primary school on a no-uniform day....lads are wearing sports clothes in year 6 (10-11 yr olds) and girls are wearing more older clothing, like mini skirts.

Here is my reason why: I apologise for generalising but in the area I am from every 16 year old boy is like this: "yO biTCh! i'M gOiNg to QBH tONiGhT & i'M weAriNg maH fAke fuBu n DaDa i BouGhT fRoM viCToRiA mArKeT yO. aNd u BeTTa wAtCh yO bAcK hOmEz cOz Me n Mah BoyZ wiLL BuSt yO aSs cOz iM tOo MuCh oF a wiMp tO dO iT mYSeLf. | Originally posted by Inertia /* rant begins makes a lot of sense, but it really pisses us off when a girl would rather date an older guy who 'grew out' of such a stage to a younger one who never entered it. sure, there arent many of us, but its about that whole understanding of female deal, you want security, you want maturity, etc that no one your age has, when one of your age does just happen to meet the requirements, "err, he's not my type". women will be our end i tell you. and as someone already mentioned, it has a lot to do with the time periods. 13y/o female with 18y/o male is a very big difference, but 25y/o female with 30y/o male isnt. i understand that no one should be up in your business, but if i started dating a girl 5 years younger, i'd expect getting bashed for it. if it's really worth it, i wouldnt complain about it. take for example this girl that was in my class. when she was 14, she had a 19y/o boyfriend, that was pretty much a thug like the ones you describe, and of course, she denied it to the fullest extent. he is mature, he is this, bla bla bla. god, us young, mature, smart, sensitive, witty, interesting, fun loving, clever, AVAILABLE guys dont have any chance do we? ran ends * \ EDIT: and another thing. MEN NEVER MATURE/CHANGE/LEARN. we just sort of evolve. instead of going over to a chick we want to get with and saying 'fancy a fuck?', once a man evolves, he would go and seduce her in the maturest, most stylish way. women would find that fascinating, yet all that process was his evolved way of saying "fancy a fuck?". anyone understanding what i mean? dont give us that crap that your bf is the best bla bla bla, he just learned to masquerade that "fancy a fuck?" REALLY well. ok, rant ends **\\ |

| Originally posted by bettsy #cassiopeia Girls need to realize one thing and stop being naive (dont know if you belong in that category but here it goes). Usually when a guy is nice to you, being understanding and so on, he wants to get inside your pants. The difference between young and old men are that the later have more skills in the art of missleading girls. Of course, if you ask your boyfriend if this is the case, he will answere no. Well thats bullshit pretty much, although its sympathetic bullshit. |
(my own brother being one of them
)
I think there isn't really a mathematical limit to what should be an acceptable difference and what not. People just should have good sense about it. The older you are, bigger age differences are supportable. Now about 25 dudes dating 17 years old or so, I think that's fucking wrong. Totally feel your pain dude.
Now talking a bit about myself and my personal situation adapted to the problem (I hope you don't mind, heh
): the possible solution is turn to younger girls too (not TOO young, again good sense comes in handy). I'm 17 and previously I used to go after girls with same age, or 1 year difference now I'm more after girls who are 14/15. They're not mature at all, apart for some rare exceptions, but they are expecting older dudes because they think they're mature
. So, to sum it up, take advantage yourself too of the situation (but never on extreme situations like the ones you mentioned, that's just fucking wrong). It's like, you won't get the mature girl you want, but the world isn't perfect. Finding the girl of your dreams is something VERY hard these days.
lol!!
No offense to anybody...
^^^^^^^
But, if you're a guy in the 18's (or 17's
) don't tell us you go for younger girls!! lol...seriously! Now THAT'S wrong! 14?!??!?!?? C'mon dude...!!
lol...anyways........omg, i'd kill myself the day I'm in university and I find myself dating a girl in highschool...Pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!

and the ones that aren't dating older guys are just worthless anyway. Also being the kind of guy that hardly gets any chick doesn't help much.| quote: |

English countries..lol!
ummm... You finish highschool at gr 12, (18 years old) and move on to either College, or University depending on what you wana do and/or your average in highschool.
I'm 18, and have never dated a younger girl
here is why 18-21 is a HUGE jump while a 50 year old and a 53 year old would be totally fine
EXPERIENCES
Colleges, clubs, travels, number of people met, jobs, careers, loves, EVERYTHING. at that age so much shit is happening that in 1 year you are a different person. every year you change, grow, mature. at 35 you are probably pretty settled and been through the same shit most others have. stick to your age. for anyone under 21 your cap is 20. Dont date over 20. at 21 jumps to like 23.

If you're dating a girl in hs a year or two younger than you and you go off to college, that's ok. If you're in college (let's say even post freshman) and you start dating a girl in hs, then you have serious problems.

| Originally posted by cassiopeia I understand that most guys just want to get into my pants. But has it happened? No. Will it happen anytime soon? No. My boyfriend & I have been together for 11 months. If he just wanted to have sex wouldn't he have left me by now? I'm not that special to wait around for. He knows if it is ever going to happen it won't be for a long time. Right now I don't think it will till i'm married. *sorry if that is too much information* I don't avoid all guys my age. It's just I never seem to meet any that I like enough to be with. I feel more comfortable around older guys, but that goes back to problems I have with myself. It isn't about maturity. I don't find myself to be more mature than other people my age. And when you all say security, do you mean financial? Because i'm not looking for that either. I prefer to pay for things myself, rather than have someone else pay. The type of guys who live around here are the type that get bagged out so much on this forum. I'm not saying I am above them because i'm not, they just don't interest me. |
I have a few buddies who are into going after younger chicks. I always kill em about it because I think its sad. They're 20 and going after 16-17. Like someone said there's a major difference during those ages. It was bad though last year one my friends who was 19 at the time was talking to someone who was 13! He said she looked 16...needless to say I couldn't be associated with him while he was seeing her.
