From what I consider a gino (this may be different then other peoples definitions), I know for a fact that there are some on these boards and they actually get along quite nicely with everyone. But is the gino came on here and said how much nicer it is to sleep with 14 year old virgins he better get flamed because its an inappropriate view.

i think there is a seperate issue going on with some sort of obsession. especialy wit sterochic over there. your vanity plate is "NOT partyprincess" thats soooo gay. y u gotta go and do dat huh? hehe u gonna go and say its so ppl dont confuse u right? but like vivid said...90 percent of the time its a JEALOUSY thang. u even said how she was stuck up in person, she said that she never met u, so what did she walk stuck up? lol im sorry im picking on u but u are the most blatant with your emotions.

the reason i dont meet u folk is that my friends wouldn't let me live it down lol but i love TAs for their knowledge...thats what brings me to this site, its a great resource

i shouldnt be replying for steroprincess but that "vanity plate" as u call it, is cos people DO mistake her for PP and also ts part of an inside joke that has been around for a long time

the joke started at a party when several TAs met up....if u were tehre, u would be on the "inside" too...but oh well...

its ok to have cliqs in real life but to take it to an online forum is well kinda stupid i think...i feel weird saying cliq

thats cos it ISNT really a clique

those of s who met each other in person and talk to often, of course know each other well and therefore are part of a big group of friends....to have met thru an online forum such as this isnt "stupid" since its hard to find people who actually know alot about trance or even know trance for that matter in everyday life....this is the only way we meet people who share the same passion for an underrated genre of music

what gets posted on the forum is of individual consent and is not discussed on a messenger nor in real life...we leave the board issues on the web.

ur trying really hard to prove a point that really doesnt justify anything.....

are u trying to say that people can come in here and show off without getting flamed/???thats the utopia u want..however this is reality and human nature.

thats the freedom of opinion and if people consider something harmful, they can do as they please...whether u can change that fact....thats a question that cant be answered......

to make things clear: partyprincess DOES piss me off too with her posts at times....

hell i piss alot of people off too with my posts...why the heck is this such a big deal???this is "only the net" right?? why should this be an issue to u?? i dont see her posting asking why shes disliked here on tota...let her speak for herself..i dont think that u nor Dr. Z nor anyone should be a spokesperson for another person.

we all have thinking capacities and it should be utilized.

also in the research i did do on this topic (since it was interesting from a psychological standpoint) i found that things that pp said were things others have said in one way or another...yet the others were not ostracized for it i have mentioned all this b4 by the way

i can gaurantee you in 3 months nobody will remember or care about this issue ..

time and time again, marg has been confused w/ PP. and reemed out by ppl on occassion. to call it a jealousy thing is not valid or fair.

and why would your friends 'not let you live it down' if you met us? that souns clique-ish to me- what? we aren't 'cool enough' for you?

even if i have had issue w/ ppl on the board, i will totally give them a chance if i meet them in real life...and i think that a lot of us are that way. i'vre had board issues w/ a number of ppl but in real life it's always 'it's really good to meet you.' on this board if you are polite and kind you can be pretty much assured that ppl will give you the same respect and treatment back.

I think it's when you go and say something like this is when you get degraded! stereoprincess is a cool person from what I can see, no need to take anything said personaly. I believe you said something about taking all this 'online' stuff as a joke? well then... take it as a joke. And besides, who said EVERYONE must get along? but at the same time, let's try and think of 'other' people and not just our selfish selves! Really sets a bad impression on the TA community.

there is a bold line between a statement and an opinion.

a statement is usually a final word to an opinion and thats what partyprincess tends to do.

an opinion is a way of stating something that one believes and doesnt expect everyone else to share the same idea

eg.
statement: women only care about shoes.

opinion: i think that women only care about shoes since thats the only thing i see them buying.

see teh difference in the tone??? when u talk only in statements, then its bound to get u into trouble. hell, even ive gotten into trouble by making statements. dont act like partyprincess is a matyr of some sort.

um ever since i joined, back in march, my welcome thread sure wasn't very big CLICKY but i've always averaged 3 posts per day so i've always said my opinion noob or not.

i'm not really into psychology, sociology or any of those studies that deal with how we deal with each other. All i know is there are two cases i've seen on TA which leads into flaming.

ONE:
a few ppl on TA who happen to just say the wrong thing at the wrong time and then ppl get pissed... or their sarcasm is not understood and they get flamed.That usually ends after a bit and they both cool down. For example me and Tara flamed each other ones but then when i first met her (TAI2) she was like "so ur the guy i flamed" ad i was like "meh, who cares, that was back then"
and i also met a few individuals on TA that i had a wrong first impression about and that changed right after. I'll get back to this point in my concluding statment.

TWO:
a few ppl on TA just happen to bitch and complain ALL the time and post REAL negative things (ok provitex i said i was only kidding. i'm sorry.. forgiveness please) and they are the ones that we should ignore. As for partyprincess, i think it's the fact that she never comes out to the parties and actually bother meeting any of us.

this is to partyprincess: COME SAY HI, obviously some will ignore u but some will talk to u. If u are really an awsome person, i don't see why ppl will not see that in real life and ignore their opinions, no mater how reserved they are and eventually TAs will realize ur not as much of a bitch u seem to be just cuz u have very different opinions.


Conclusion:
i have nothing against partyprincess yet i can't stand for her. All i can say is we really sholdn't take matters seriously. I've disagreed with many TAs b4 yet they are my commarades, buddies and friends. Some of them i chat with everyday off TA.. Some of them i see IRL at least once a week. A few i chill with everyday. What makes us unique is unlike many other threads where ppl are from different places, we are all within a 70KM radius where the majourity are within a 10 min car ride within each other. We see each other every weekend at least once and if many can't come out to the parties, they're still welcomed on the boards.
STATEMENT: TAs who have spoted each other IRL and been introduced to each other tend to forget about the flaming.

OPINION: i think we just drop whatever grudge we have once we're partying together just for the fact of our love and support for the scene and the DJs.. this is what i call PLUR we just have it in different form.

I think this is BS. I expressed SO many opposing opinions on this board when I first joined, and argued with many many people. So much that when I actually met said people in person, they asked if I hated them. (Diginut!)

Yet, at the very few TA events I've been to, I've been warmly welcomed. Despite my difference of opinions on a LOT of things (PROG - nyuk nyuk) I think the TOTAs are a great group of people that I enjoy hanging out with.

Cliques are a part of society. They are everywhere. You are misled when you say "ravers don't have cliques; why is TOTA different?" EVERY rave-related message board shares the same characteristics as this one - people like to talk a lot of shit from behind a computer, but in person often put these differences aside. Welcome to the internet. This board is no different than any other; this does not mean that all the talk on the board is not something that needs to be carried over in person.

Some people take things WAY too literally. Yes, a message board is just as much of a communication and interaction tool as the phone or an email, but just like with those things, everything must be taken with a grain of salt.

Lastly, this partyprincess drama needs to stop. People, please take your bantering off the board and into some private messages. If this isn't worth PMing about, stop polluting the board with it.

I have a question: is this section of the forums intended for people who are interessted in trance or is it intended for people in toronto?

I see it as a forum for the toronto trance scene...am I wrong? it's turned into people bringing personal problems onto the board. If you don't like someone, just like others have said, ignore them. stop bringing personal problems here! instead, start posting threads about trance in toronto. I'm sure there are other forums that are specifically about toronto in general where you could argue whatever is on your mind.
