Well for starters it's an SVCD rip. If you knew anything about video codecs you would know perfectly well that DivX is nonstandard and most DVD players cannot read XVCD discs (as divx is actually a *hack* of a microsoft MPEG 4 codec). MPEG 2 also happens to be far superior quality to DivX although the size is greatly increased. If you've ever tried to cross encode a video from divx to mpeg2 you would know how much of a pain in the fecking ass it is and how much faster it is to just download the whole thing in mpeg2 format to begin with. Just for comparisons sake it took upwards of 4 hours to re-encode a 2 hour video in ~24 FPS NTSC MPEG2 from Divx with a 2.133 ghz processor. Difference in size was 800 megabytes. Not to mention the amount of quality lost from re-encoding ( i actually had to re-rip the audio stream aswell cos they used VBR) Think before you speak.. k thx die
