I had an amazing time. Having been the lucky bastard to get to chauffeur Armin, I got to talk to him quite a bit. What an awesome guy! So down to earth, friendly, curious about the local scenes, etc. He's definitely my #1 =)

The meetup was great (sorry to hear some people didn't pay :whip, and his set was mindblowing. Me and all of my friends had an awesome time.

BTW, I sorta liked Tomcraft - Loneliness. I didn't see how that was a serious faux pas? I was hoping they'd let Armin just play until 4 though, oh well.

as an extra comment, the sound system seemed to be cranked pretty high. A couple of times, it was a bit painful on the ears.

That and I went to bed with my ears still ringing -- sounded like I had waves crashing in my ears...

My ears are still ringing Same thing happened when I saw Tiesto @ The Bronze in Edmonton last Decemeber.

I've never had this problem after a Commodore show.........

Didn't get a chance to post last night, I was too tired. Got home around 4 am and had to get up at 8 :30 to go to work

Anyways the meetup was great, cool to have such a huge turnout, even though I didnt know who more than half the people there were. Cool to meet Armin, such a cool guy, down to earth and everything not all caught up with his image.

Enjoyed the set, recognized about half the tracks. And ya my ears were still ringing when I went to work this morning. I think he really cranked the volume up on his last few tracks.

Hopefully the guys that stiffed the waitress will pay you guys who covered their tab back if they ever come to another meetup again.

What!?! can you type that a little louder please? i can't hear you. yeah... my hearing is still ringing just under 24 hours later... hopefuly it's ok tommorow. I'm noticing issues with hearing high freq sounds at the moment. Hopefuly it'll restore itself to atleast 99% by tommorow as the same happened for me last time I saw Armin at Twisted 2003. I need my hearing for September 14th as I'm playing the nightclub here in town.

Also... the track I keep identifying as "sensation black anthem"... what is it really called? If you don't know the track i'm talkin about... go to sensation.id-t.com and check out the black home page... they have the tune there as the background track.

That really sucks about an/some individual(s) not paying. I hope you got their names and can confront them in a proper one on one manner to get your funds back.

It's called just that "Sensation Black Anthem" - that's the official title

he didnt really have much of a choice.

he kept getting shoved back by rude people who would stand RIGHT in front of him (Even though there was no room) and he would slowly get pushed back to that area. he would move closer to the stage again, and then the same shit happened.

dave is quite upset at his experience at the show for that reason. i really feel bad for him, especially since hes new to trance, and im trying to raise his opinion of it and going to clubs with me, etc. he wanted to know why people were so rude there... he said, even, that one of the tranceaddicts from the meetup kept doing the same thing. standing RIGHT in front of him when there was no room, then starting to dance, thus pushing him back.

sucks.

Ya some people near the front were a little rude, he should have tried to stay up there with you. I was on your right about 2 people over, at the front and I kept having to stay right there or someone would try to get in front of me.

Holy Shit !!!

What an awesome night that was! From the meet up till the end of the show, this was the night to remember!
I am still so excited I cant stop thinking about the whole night.My folks are getting anoyed cause I am always talking about the whole experience.
Meeting Armin in person was just unreal! I am so overwhelmed its unbelievable. He gave me the new Signum record heheh and he signed it too !!! oh I am still lightheaded because of that ! I am going to put the record under the glass bell haha
I am also very glad I got the chance to meet a lot of TA's and see the faces behind the names on this board. My ears are still shot too Cant hear higher frequencies and the right ear seems to be kind of plugged up more than the left one.
That was way too loud and like some of you said already there were quite a few rude people that kept pushing in front of me and thus causing me to move towards the speakers. And standing infront of those beasts was a suicide mission I tell ya that much
Then I would have to make my way back in front of the stage somehow.
Other that that I was having a time of my life and 3 hours past so fast that I simply could not believe it !
Track after track, Armin was just stellar ! Hard to pick the tune of the night... they were all storming.
I liked the tech trancey side of the whole set. Nice and pounding.

I tried to find you and the rest of the crew from your car but I could not see you. I spent almost all the time dancing in front of the
stage. Me and Pavel and Chris (occasionaly when he wasnt pushed away )were dancing our nutts off Armin saw me a lot of times with a huge smile on my face all the time and every time he would point at me and smile !
I was just passing out every time he did that hahaha He remembered me how I was happy with a huge smile at the meeting and when he gave me the record hahah
Time of my life ! Just amazing !
Again nice meeting you all and looking forward to the next gathering.
