Originally posted by starglider Well, this is the tracklist for Believe: 01. I Want To Believe (Dolphin Mix) 02. Musings Of A Lifetime 03. Save Me 04. Another Dimension 05. Devotion 06. Above The Sky 2002 07. Alone In The Dark 08. Innerspace 09. Ladyblue 10. When Things Go Wrong... 11. Sunspot (DCML Mix) 12 Trust No. 1 He could have excluded the previously released tracks (Save Me, Alone In The Dark, Innerspace, Sunspot). That leaves 8 tracks. Depending on the length that would probably be enough to fill the CD; if some end up being shorter he could add another unreleased track. In any event I'd much prefer 8-9 full-length new tracks to a mixed bag of edits and older material.

Originally posted by tor8024 me too, but lightning records wanted his album to sell! lots of people won't pay 20$ for 'only' 8 tracks..

Originally posted by starglider You have a valid point, and I'm sure that's what influenced their decision. However, I wonder how the number of people who wouldn't buy an 8-track album compares to the number of people who didn't buy Believe (myself, Nell, etc.) because of the tracklisting. Airwave isn't exactly a household name, even in Belgium (I presume). A large portion of his fans are surely those who know what to expect from quality trance producers and realize that L-Vee's tracks simply aren't five or six minutes long.

Originally posted by tor8024 yeah that's true.. i think maybe they wanted to release something in between, so that more people would buy it and that at the same time his true fans wouldn't be dissapointed by very short 'radio edits' or something.. so they cut a few tracks down to 6 minutes instead of the original 9.. but obviously a track only has its full power in the original version, especially these epic uplifters from l-vee i guess the new 2-cd set will be better, what with 4 earlier released tracks in full version on cd 2 and all (theft of the spirit, alone in the dark, etc.?)

he could probably fit all the tracks on 3xcd's right? it costs no more (Other than the cost of the cd, 20p?! and the ink that goe son it, 2p?!) to add an extra cd to it. They wouldnt have to charge an extra 10 bucks for for another disc.
Personally, id be happy with even 1xcd of full lenght versions. the best example of a good album is 'in my memory' 2xcd edition. nothings edited as far as i can tell. Even 'out of the blue' isnt that bad since some of the tracks are full length.
Can i also say that imo, editing a track takes away an element of how it was meant to be. you dont get to hear the buildup and experience the track progression and it kinda ruins it.

Since I'm a big fan of Airwave I will definately buy this (if i can find it in stores this time
) and also the Lady Blue vinyl. Also planning to buy When things go wrong but i dont think my shop still has it
Anyway, I hope the unreleased tracks are worth the 20 euro since i burned Believe

Hi David, About Lightning Records, they went bankrupt in March (as you might know). But the guys have started a new company called Banshee Worx, which also holds all the labels of Lightning. Downloading did have something to do with it of course. This together with some companies that did not pay,... Have a good weekend, Jurgen.
