im looking forward to Blade 3 and thats about it. I really wish a movie was made on the basis of Alan Ford comics but finding actors that would fit the roles of those classic characters would be impossible and i dont belive theres a director alive that could really transfer the feeling of the comic to the screen s ill just shut up now

What about the film based on the comic "Hellblazer"? Called something like Constantine?
Shep
Thanks for the info. Great thread. I'm a huge comic-movie junkie, so this was refreshing for me today. Here's a few thoughts:
1. Ghostrider - I was a huge fan and comic collector of this comic, so I'm extremely excited for this. And I actually think Nick Cage will work well as Johnny Blaze. He's a gifted actor - at least he's not going to play the next Superman!
2. Spiderman 2 - I personally thought Toby M. was perfect for the role of Peter Parker. Geeky, quite, yet whitty and confident when necessary. Doc Oc will be a great villain. Again, one of my facorite comic books coming to real life.
3. X-Men 3 - The second movie was better than the first. I look forward to seeing this one making its attempts to trump them both.
4. Doctor Strange - Another one of my favorite comic books. Not well-known, but could definitely be a sleeper hit.
5. Fantastic 4 - This could potentially rival X-Men in terms of popularity with team heroes. Flame on!
6. Silver Surfer - A great cosmic character. Seeing Galactus on screen with full effects would be a trip!
7. Daredevil 2 - Let's get one thing straight: there's only 2 Ben Affleck movies worth seeing: Chasing Amy and Good Will Hunting. The rest suck donkey balls, and the first DD movie was the worst by far. It disgusted me to see Hollywood sell their souls to getting this God-aweful sellout. The movie may have pulled some dough in, but it didn't pull the wool over the critics' collective eyes, who thoroughly ripped this movie a new asshole. And not only did Ben Affleck rip one of my favorite characters apart, but the shameless T&A act of Alias' star play Electra was painful to watch as well. And by the way, isin't Kingpin supposed to be white? Don't think I'm being racist, I'm just pointing out one of so many discrepancies with this ridiculous movie. So needless to say, I'm not looking forward to it's sequel.
That's all for now.

I'm really only interested in Xmen 3 and Blade 3... not a daredevil fan and I hate Tobey Maguire as Spiderman... but if Kirsten Dunst is in it, I'll watch. Actually I'll prolly still see Spiderman 2 because of Doc Ock... but Spiderman 3 looks vicious... LOVE Venom and Carnage!! I can really see Christian Bale as Carnage, not so much Vin Diesel or the Rock as Venom, you need that crazy/psycho smile look to pull off Venom hahaha.
Oh yeah... NICOLAS CAGE IS GHOST RIDER?!?!?! Come on...

Here's info about some DC comics based movies:
Chris Nolan: Batman - Year One aka Batman - The Frightening (2005?)
- This will take inspiration from the Year One story by Frank Miller exploring Batman's origins.
- Year One" chronicles Bruce Wayne's first year as the vigilante Batman as well as his relationship with Lieutenant James Gordon, the future Police Commissioner, who's fighting within the law.
Pitof: Catwoman (July 30, 2004)
- This Catwoman will not be "Selina Kyle" as she is in the DC Comics and was in Batman Returns.
- The film follows orphaned veterinary scientist Patience Price's vendetta against industrialist Simon Church, the man whose corporate assassins "killed" her.
- She wants to find out why and exact her revenge.
- Lake City is shocked that a new Catwoman is prowling their streets (but they're also thrilled to finally have their burg on the celebrity map).
- Detective Tom Lone, is the point man in the police's Catwoman investigation.
- Lone doesn't realize, however, that his prey also happens to be his mousy next door neighbor and prospective girlfriend, Patience Price.
Frank Darabont & Chuck Russell: Doc Savage (release date not known yet)
- Doc Savage and his Fabulous Five travelled to the four corners of the planet fighting evil everywhere in comic books and pulp novels.
- The Fabulous Five were Savage's quirky and intelligent team; a chemist, a lawyer, an electrical wizard, an engineer and an archaeologist that help him whenever the going gets tough.
- Savage's adventures are financed by gold from a secret Mayan civilization that he helped found in one of his first adventures.
- Castle Rock is looking to turn Doc Savage into a multi-film franchise like James Bond. !!???
- Arnold Schwarzenegger will be Dr. Clark Savage Jr.
Rachel Talalay: Preacher (release date not known yet)
- Preacher is the story of Jesse Custer, a down-and-out preacher in a small Texas town, who is possessed by the supernatural creature Genesis in an incident which kills his congregation and flattens his church.
- James Marsden (Scott Summers/Cyclops on X-Men/X-Men 2) will be Preacher.
Wolfgang Petersen: Superman vs. Batman (2005?)
- When Bruce Wayne goes out seeking bloody vengeance on the murderer of his new bride, Jennifer, Superman opposes him, fights him to the near death - then it's discovered that the guy behind Jennifer's murder is also this big baddie in Superman's circle and they unite to fight.
- Colin Farrell is rumoured to play Batman
- Josh Hartnett & Jude Law are still "fighting" for the cast of Superman.
And here are some other comic series' planned/rumoured movies:
Guillermo del Toro: Hellboy (April 2, 2004)
- Hellboy chronicles a demon who is accidentally summoned to earth by the Nazis.
- Rather than side with evil, the disarmingly down-to-earth Hellboy decides to become a champion of the good, and works as a paranormal investigator.
- Ron Pearlman a Hellboy.
- John Hurt as Prof. Buttenholm.
- Karel Roden as Grigori Rasputin.
- Jeffrey Tambor as Dr. Manning.
- Doug Jones as Abe Sapien.
- Selma Blair as Liz Sherman.
- Rupert Evans as John Myers.
- Biddy Hodson as Ilsa.
- Corey Johnson as Agent Clay.
- Brian Caspe as Agent Lime.
Mark Steven Johnson: Midnight Nation (release date not known yet)
- Midnight Nation is a tale about Police Detective David Grey.
- A good cop with a good heart, who is trying to solve a murder no one wants, or cares to help solve.
- In his search for the killer, Detective Grey is more than shocked to find out there are elements to this case which are definately not from the realm of the world we live in.
Larry Guterman: Son Of The Mask (October 8, 2004)
- The sequel focuses on Tim Avery, an aspiring cartoonist at Animagic Studios.
- Not ready for fatherhood, he finds himself raising a baby, soon finding out that his son is endowed with the powers of the mask of Loki, the same Stanley Ipkiss (Jim Carrey) found in '94.
- Jim Carrey nor Cameron Diaz are NOT planned to be in this movie.
- Jamie Kennedy will be Tim Avery
- Alan Cummings will be his son (behind the Loki's mask of course).
