Game on. That was mildly amusing when the original guy was in it. But the newer guy they had was a total twat.

Yeah but he wasnt as funny as he became by the first series of 'I'm Alan Partridge'

A funny story that I read once. Michael Grade who I think was then boss at channel 4 had though in 1996 that brass eye was to controversial, so he kept putting it back and not showing it.

During this time Chris Morris decided to write to Nelson Mandela to tell him that Michael Grade had lead a campaign to keep him in prison .

I beleive he also had added a subliminal message saying 'GRADE IS A ****' flash up on screen, and it was shown on TV like that .

Another time he apparently filled a radio studio with helium while a colleague was doing a broadcast

first thing i'm gonna do is find some more chris morris. what a fucking laff. Some people in this country are still too stuffy tho and find humour offensive. Too many from the pc tree hugging brigade. Bring on dark humour, naff off airy fairy US pretentious shite.

Drop the Dead Donkey, now thats one that used to crease me up.

Back in the day of Ant Dec and Cat, SMTV used to be great.

Posted by dj_mdma on Aug-24-2003 16:39:

that was only a couple of years ago, god i feel old
The Sketch Show was fuckin hilarious too, and they filmed it in my area so i recognised all the places!

best thing is when the guy has a bucket collecting for charity, and he's shaking it and u can hear the change rattling. a couple of people put money in, and this guy walks past, puts his hand in, like he is putting change in, the collector shakes the bucket, but there is no more noise, and he only realises after a couple of shakes, wahahaha

I'm such a dickhead, dunno how I forgot Drop the dead donkey, i must be the programmes biggest fan.

But yeah I agree, Dtdd is sooo funny, especially damien and dave, I must have seen literally every episode at least twice (for anyone interested it's normally repeated on Paramount, but it seems to have been replaced by sex in the city at the moment)
