| Originally posted by kid nyce oh no flame received but i just dont see how playing tracks before he does especially in the same week is respectful. i mean edgar knows paul is comin on thursday and that he will more than likely premiere his new tracks like crush and vega4 so why would any DJ wanna play it before the producer plays it? just my opinion |

((((group hug))))
I got there around 2:30 and the hour Edgar V was on whiel I was there, he threw it down. Nu NRG was nothign short of what I expected. It sucks they were only on for an hour, but it was still cool. i'd never heard Dianire spin before last night, and I was very impressed. We left around 6 when he started getting a little techy. Definitely a good night though.
It was good seeing a lot of you out last night. Edgar played some bangin stuff but really in no particular order mainly because when he started playing there was no one there so he was def. testing out some new productions and some of his own stuff as well. I also think he wanted to get some of the vandit stuff played and might have forced the tracks in there a few times, but overall Edgar did his job and got the crowd moving. Nu-Nrg, as we all know, had a sound issue for the 1st 10-15 minutes, but eventually it was corrected. I thought their PA was ok, but not mind blowing like the last 3 times I have seen them. A few times it looked like 1 was a few steps behind the other when it came to what they were playing next. A few times the synth was totally behind, but overall they had the place moving. I just thought they lulled up and down for most of the set and really didnt bang it out, but I guess I'm just biased towards their last set I heard that was just a masterpiece. Victor rocked out some nice tech/trance. It was nice hearing "traffic" and c:/, but after a long night on friday night and no sleep saturday, I was audi by 6:30. It was a good night overall, but I think this was just the warm-up for thursday.

| Originally posted by kid nyce hrm not bad but not great, a good tease for pvd or shall i say i good anti-climax. im sorry to hate edgar but wouldnt u want to respect paul alittle more by not playing his latest works before he came. i mean he's gonna be here in a few days and ur playing his shit before he gets to play it...kinda sad but on the other hand, its nice to hear the tracks on phazon so that was a plus, and yea vega 4 time of our lives definitely sounds sick live. |
But who knows what PIC is gonna be like, It could rain, Blackout, or you could be danceing next to a 8 year old...It will defanately be a little awkward, im happy i heard them in a reall club envirnment, with the phazon system.
Wow sounds like you all had a blast last night!
I feel like i was almost there when i was reading all the posts. The pictures are awesome! I hope Nu-NRG comes back soon, hopefully to DC so its a little closer.
Thanks, Reuben, for calling me at 4:30am like u said u would, I could hear Nu-NRG playing but couldnt tell what track it was.
Awesome awesome night, im glad you all had a fantastic time!
The whole night was great. We walked in on Edgar's last hour and it looks like that was the best time. Edgar threw down some amazing epic tracks. It was a really energetic build up before Nu-Nrg came on. When Nu-Nrg came on at 3:30 the sound was only coming from the left club speakers, then after about 10 minutes the sound was coming from all speakers but the bass was distorted. Once the sound issues were all worked out it reminded me of PVD at Arc, it was really, really good! So many new songs that were real quality. Arturo ruled the stage with his camera. I wouldn't be suprised if Nu-Nrg hires him to be part of all their gigs, lol. I think they played a little more than their usual one hour set time. Vic came on afterwards starting with Slipstream and kept the energy flowing for the rest of the night. I think this was the first time I went to Arc and heard
over 4 hours of nothing but hard trance.

ALL I GOTTA SAY IS WOW. -- I went there to see NU NRG and i was SO glad i made it...i did go in a little early, around 12:30 or so, met a couple of the TA's, very cool peeps btw
but i really wasnt feeling Edgar's tunes for a while....sooo...me and my friends went to the deli up the block, got lots of booze and went to the park down the street (which is across the street from the police station)
and finished off some beers.....well it wasn't enough cause we went back to the deli again
the best part is coming back sloshed at 3:15 and going up front with NU NRG - SIMPLY AMAZING. such a good set, anyone who says otherwise is seriously being way to critical.
