I'd have to disagree here, his older rock-styled productions, namely "Satellite", and the energetic "Never Gonna Come Back Down" are some REALLY great tunes!

So what are you saying here?

His newer stuff such as Dark Heart Dawning, Animals, etc. are not good?

Posted by Rocco on Aug-27-2003 16:25:

well see, ur not loosing interest in trance.. trance is loosing interest in u. U must pray to the trance GODDs and hope they forgive u!

i can't believe u can post such non-sense! u are a disgrace to the believers! quick! hide before his holiness finds out! O' dear pope John Swampz, please not read this... please..

ok serious now.. um i agree with u .. trance has been somewhat slow lately and it's been more and more repetitive but it will hit back up one day... maybe later this year. Out of no where, it's gonna come back and smack u silly with all new productions u would fall in love again.

I never meant anything negative about the newer stuff. I mentioned NGCBD & Satellite b/c they're tracks I am very familiar with. I haven't given Emotional Technology a full listen yet. But thanks, i'll check those tracks out tonight.

^^^hey goodnet! Long time no see around here. I remember I was just starting to post around here and you disappeared!

Hello to you too, Princess Stereo!
College took a toll on my attention to the Trance Addict forums. But with me turning 19 in a few days, you may see me frequent the TOTA section more.. in addition to actual parties/events

1) Could have friends that post on here
2) The diversity of music and opinions
3) Bored at work
4) Party reviews and upcoming events
5) Trance

And I agree, the quality of trance being produced and played out today is bunk. Still a fan of the older stuff and still going to post on Tranceaddict even though I am not an addict anymore.

therefore this thread actually complements that other thread discussing the fact that too many other genres have infiltrated this site..

i think the diversity is just a byproduct of having a large msg board like we do today..

Smiley DJ

I've always been listening to all kinds of music, I don't try to limit myself to one genre, but I never get bored of anything I like. I do stay away from hip hop and stuff lol oh and country.

and the fact that you are going to have a large number of people that have been on here for a while and may have been exposed to other genres through-out their partying career. Still like it trance but also like other music.

yeah exactly.. I don't think ppl are necessarily losing interest in trance, i think that they're just becoming more exposed to a wider variety of music and making themselves more knowledgeable this way. I'm sure if you ask most successful trance DJ's they don't listen exclusively to trance but instead tune in to a wide array of different sounds for inspiration..

I agree; perhaps the phrase "losing interest in trance" is a bit misleading.

BTW I love the line in your sig about the architect/oracle!

Could it be that you're listening to a wrong spectrum of trance or hitting the repeat buttons too often?....widen your range and fine-tune your senses....Trance is like a wave, you catch the wave yourself...it's between you and the audible beats.....Learn to accept, instead of losing...

Not many tommorrows left, but there are tons of trance productions worth exploring....

Listen and listen without prejudice....

Peace..

lost interest in trance a while ago, only trance i really listen to a lot is psy. Lost a little interest in prog over the past few months...but listening to some nice ass prog sets on the beach recovered my interest again...w000t

As for DnB/Jungle...it will never die for me in terms of interest...always a good time to listen to dnb/jungle.
