geeeeee, its pvd! what can i say. it wasn't the best set i've heard from him but it was pretty good. he did replay some tracks but those were the banging tracks that u didnt mind hearing. i think he just played those tracks specially for those who came out early to see or to maybe just hype up the crowd? overall i think he played a good set and "for an angel" OMG
oh and for tracklisting, ya'll forgot sasha - wavy gravy. OMG

| Originally posted by xxlesliexx I thought it was a good show.. it sucked a little in the beggining... but it got better as the night went on. And the people were wild, but thats because I was allllllllll the way in the front, as close to PVD as you can get and by the end of the night it got really packed and wild with everyone rubbing their sweaty bodies against one another. It was alot of fun, but I'm not sure if it was worth $30.. it should have been cheaper. I didnt like it when he played ATRC twice; once was bad enough. |
i was the guy with the red pvd shirt with white lettering. not the old guy.. i saw one old guy with my shirt that wasnt me

| Originally posted by isoprophlex i ended up going myself cause all my friends had work and no one could come, so i just sold my extra ticket. i got in there and sat down for like 10 minutes and everyone started rushing to the front when pvd came on stage. i was at the very front wearing my brazillian soccer shirt. it was slow at the beginning, it didnt seem like the people were getting into it much... but once the sun went down and the lights came on i saw hands in the air.. just not as much as i would have expected. i liked his set even though he did some repeats. a lot of good looking girls... especially in the front. i thought he was on till 11 so that kind of dissappointed me. overall i enjoyed it a lot, got a lot of dancing in, and the atmosphere was average. |
i think HE WAS AWESOME
i got there right when he started to play.............
the first song was horrible, i did not like it....in my opinion..... but the rest of his tracklisting was pretty good.... mixing awesome.... he played some classic traxx that i forgot about already (dreamland wow)......

BUT MY HIGHLIGHT WAS FOR AN ANGEL -----> OMFG ....people went nuts for this song and so did i...... i never heard for an angel live ....now that i did i can die in PEACE...
PS i smelled WEED everywhere
...... i just think that was funny..... it not like i didnt smoke either......

yeah as the rush comes........... love that song......... i would not have played it twice but........ everyone has there own opinions..........
i wish he played for an ANGEL TWICE WOW
DJ Fantazio: he dropped as the rush comes twice
DJ Fantazio: hahaah
dave dresden: WHAT???!
dave dresden: twice?
DJ Fantazio: ya
DJ Fantazio: the crowd sang along so great
DJ Fantazio: he also dropped your mix of beachball
dave dresden: wow, pvd is on the tip...this is cool!
oh ya
he also dropped Massive
wow you were talking to DAVE Dresden................
lol.....beachball was nice............love that song too.....its good that PVD played it ..........
I thought the show was awesome... good energy levels throughout...
I tried recording it but the speakers were way to weak to get a decent recording... it's like they were following noise regulations... I might release the set... but there's a crapload of conversation between my friends and I.. so probably not....

He repeated quite a few (2 different versions of Crush, 2 different versions of Nothing But You {one of which for the encore], As The Rush Comes, Time of Our Lives, and Saron Inc - Overflow), but it was still a very fun time for me. Terrific vibe and weather. Nice to see the sun setting. The lasers were great.
Don't anyone forget the Justin Timerlake track (or so I thought it was) he played as the second song of the set.
:
His schedule says he's doing an in-store or record release party deal on October 6. Armin and PVD less than a week apart!
I might also have a chance to see them on back-to-back nights in Toronto the following weekend.

PVD OWNS YOU ALL!!!!!
What a party!!!! What a Set!!! Indescribable!!!
I'm not worthy looking into HIS eyes after what he did to me and thousands of others in Central Park... When HE dropped "As The Rush Comes", then "Out There (5th Dimension)", then "Carrera 2", then "Nothing"... one killer after another...
He did not build the set.
He was on a motherfucking killing spree!!!
Loved every single second of the experience!!!!
Ian, Jayme - nice seeing you guys

That was a great nihgt! Holy freakin hell, I danced my ass off for the entire nihgt. My legs are hurting bad.
We were late, so as we walked up ATRC was playing and I was pissed! I wanted to here that soo bad live. Caught me off guard when it came on again, but I singing to the song as loud as I could.
Great night, definitely picked up later into the night. I think it change when he played Crush the first time.
Massive
For An Angel
Dreamland
Just a great night!
To all mt TAs in Philly, I hope he's doing Transit some justice.
Sorry I missed the dinner meetup, went record shopping and got there waay late. But I did get the last copy og PvD feat Vega Connected & Time of Our Lives.
Just finished listening to ASOT 112... Armin is at it again! His recent ASOT's were the shit! His song selection was awesome (Connected (Markus Schulz Reconstruction).. was AWESOME =D).
By the way, I loved it when PVD dropped Beachball and Connected. I don't seem to like ATRC in clubs anymore. Armin played his remix and the Sweeping Strings mix last month at ROXY. I thought THAT was cool... guess I don't like it anymore.
Otherwise, now that I look back, PVD was pretty above average with everything. I guess I wasn't feeling the experience because of the location. I'm so sure I would have thought the set would be crazy if PVD were performing inside a closed club

I had a blast. I wasn't even gonna go, but last min I decided to. SO glad I did. PVD was great the entire time. Repeating songs shouldn't be something new for a PVD fan. He's always repeating songs...(at exit "I feel you" 3 times, at Space during WMC, P diddys track 3 times. etc). The songs he repeated are instant classics anyway, so I liked it. The first mix of Nothing But you was awsome. What mix was that? The only other ID I want is the song right before Tiesto - Traffic... Sounded Max Walder-ish(maybe destroy the sound, but im not sure). For an angel and dreamland and massive were amazing. Made the night. Crowd was disgusting, but seemed to all be having fun.
it wuz good to meet everyone
The music was not up to par I thought but I had a FANTASTIC time. The vibe their was infection especially when the lasers came on. There were times when people hands were in the air going nuts from front to back.
He played these tracks twice:
Time of our Lives,
ATRC,
Crush,
and I believe one other..
I think that the whole concept of the outdoor event, the lasers off of the trees was amazing. It almost had a Forest-Rave vibe. If I were to base it solely on the music, I would say it wasn't that great. But when I factor in the entire night as a whole, it was fantastic. I hope Made Events does some more of these next summer...
For those TA's I met at Summerstage and at Vic's Loft, ya'll are some cool kids. Lets do it again sometime.
P.S. Whoever was chanting GLow.... SHUT THE FUCK UP! Don't bring that shit up in NYC...

just one thing OMFG once the Nothing But You was played no one was touching PvD. Of all his sets i havent heard a set as good as this one since '99. And for all you critics out there shhhhhhhh PvD tore it up in NYC people who have seen him at Twylo are even saying it. This is one of his best sets the crowd went wild. Once the lasers came on PvD was game!
